I Built My Boyfriend a Kotatsu for Christmas
A better name for this video would probably be my dad builds a kotatsu while I help out a bit hahaha. We spent so long (and more money than I originally thought) on this project, but I am so happy with the finished product. And now both Joe and I can live out our weeb dreams of watching anime from the comfort of our kotatsu :D
chapters:

15:52 - Day 2

how hard is it to make a traveler's notebook?
Переглядів 680Місяць тому
hello everyone! spoilers: making a traveler's notebook from scratch was way harder than I thought it would be and I struggled a lot more than I thought. I'm glad i persevered and didn't give up because Joe ended up really liking it despite it coming out a bit wonky. tbh if you want something good quality I would recommend buying a traveler's notebook, but sometimes doing crafts is fun. also, us...

hello everyone! I finally took the plunge and got myself a traveler's notebook! I had been debating on what journaling system to try for the new year, and I went back and forth between this and a hobonichi for a while, but in the end decided to go for this just because of the ability to keep separate notebooks for each thing I journal about. I'm gonna give it a try for a while and then eventual...

A clarinet choir arrangement of The Passing of the Elves from Fellowship of the Ring. "I don't know why, but it makes me sad." These past few weeks have been stressful and uncertain for many. As a music major I tend to find comfort and solace in music, and I hope this recording will help you feel the same, even just for a few minutes. It looks so nice! I think the lighter colour of the table also adds to your living room! I modified some Ikea furniture to make a kotatsu and I have never regretted it. I was curious to see how you had made one. Did you ever install the heater?

Yes we did! Its was just 4 thumb screws that went through the holes we drilled in the supports and into the sides of the heater. The day we did that all of my camera batteries were dead haha

@@angieblah245 That's wonderful! I'm so glad you did, and that you even took time to record what you could of the process. It's hard to put videos together, it's hard to learn new things, and I have so much admiration for it. I will subscribe and I hope you keep making things, and even if you don't it's such a wonderful thing to have done!

What a wonderful gift! I could see the love that went into it! I like how your dad showed you how to do the work rather than just doing it all for you (like MY dad would've done!). He allowed you to actually get hands on, except for the truly dangerous work. I wouldn't have wanted to use a huge circular saw either! 😅 The kotatsu turned out great!

although youtube is comprised mainly of independent creators, i find myself watching many successful and establsihed youtubers who have ideally lit film sets, expensive tools and streamlined cinematpography. it was enjoyable watching this video which had none of those things. you still made a great video and i bet you still worked really hard to make this video. im glad i watched it and would like to watch more 'hobbyist' videos by smaller creators.

Btw if you hadn’t figured it out yet, do what you did earlier with two sets of two inserts each and then add another jumpband and connect the two together and then slide the two inserts connected together under the TN jumpband and you’ll have two inserts on each side of the main TN jumpband which will even out the inserts and not push them outside of the sides. Lol did that make sense. 😅

Believe it or not, sleep flip phones like this existed literally everywhere from 2005-2009. I had one in the 5th grade '07/'08. It was black, much more square, thin and sleeker than this. My cousin gave me an extra charm she got from Daiso and I put it on my phone. It feels nice to come back home to one of these after more than a decade of using smart phones. I recently bought a black 902kc that I will be vinyl wrapping iridescent white since I couldn't get my hands on a white one. It will be put into service as a daily driver

Sorry for the late reply! I had a lot of help installing apps because I'm not too familiar with the process myself, but I know you need to download the .apk file for the apps you want, connect the phone to your computer and make sure dev mode is enabled on the phone, and you need to use something called adb through the computers terminal/ command line to actually install the files. There's some tutorials on Reddit and UA-cam, though they are quite confusing if you don't know a bit about coding and stuff (which is why I needed a lot of help lol). I'm sorry that I'm not very useful helping with this 😞
