Heartbreaking scene. Bogart always stole the movie from bigger stars that got top billing over him.
Great movie. Great acting. Jake allegedly told his trainer in between rounds, "If I were you, I'd hire a good lawyer." They should have used that line in the movie.
😍
Who were the actors in that scene ? Ernest Borgnine, Joe Mantell, Jerry Paris, ... the others ?
You don’t want to hang around with dogs, it gives you a bad reputation.
And then he was stoic and cool dr. No. What a range!
Donnie Blanks….from Tuy Hoa, Vietnam I listened to Tom Seaver pitch the 1969 World Series while hunched down in a bunker
Tony Kubek was such a gem.
Academy Award Performances always have breakfast scenes. This movie, My Cousin Vinny, Pulp Fiction, As Good As It Gets, The Phantom Thread.
Underrated actor Joseph Wiseman
Get that knife the mohel away from me!
I was lucky to watch the entire game thanks to NYC Mayor John Lindsay shutting down all City Government buildings including the schools! Sadly but also happily, this was Tom’s ONLY World Series win but it out the Mets on the threshold of winning the WS, which they did the following day! RIP Tom! Thank you for all the wonderful memories!
Omg this is one of my favorite scenes
He had to meditate on what Ralph just said.
Greatness
Mai vreau😔🙏🖤🕊️
Great sequence, however the scene was incorrect. Fox wore black trunks and vice versa.
Yeah and Jake La Motta was actually ugly as sin but who cares its a movie
Thanks. That's do integral u 🤡
@Nomozacc Really??? My ex thought he was better looking than Deniro..u likely look like bozo the clown 🤡 🤣
@@Nomozacctha fack?
10 years before Dr. No
Day after watching this movie I went to a diner and did the same thing hahaha
great film
Great film....
Great character actor
Tommy was the leader. Leo was the rotten guy in this first Dead End kids movie.
What a great movie
What made him so effective as the black man that everyone of the time--except I suppose the most recalcitrant bigots--could like was his inherent sense of self-worth. Growing up in the Bahamas, he just didn't feel as unworthy of respect as a black man. It always came across and was irresistible. He didn't have to argue for it, or insist upon it: it was just there. And the viewer had no choice but accept it.
Very true, he also said that in an interview about his upbringing. On the other hand, what happened and happens in t Us and elsewhere to black people is such a terrible shame
You tube you do stink , making us pay your candy ass to watch our movie.dont ever send me a email again about your false advertising like this person is doing
Michael Keller picked Doug Molitor and Roy Holliday for the 10th Anniversary Tournament.
I love the movie Lilly of the Field, but I don't like that UA-cam don't want you to watch it free, that not fair at all this is the most best of the best #1 movie after live.
I eat like this every morning but when that black coffee kicks in 💨💨💨🌪🌪💩💩🥵
What a wonderful actor he was
ALESSANDRO DE SOUZA
Sidney is HONGRY!
Boy ! I just had my breakfast and I am hungry again ! Sydney makes it so appetizing !
some serious social engineering here
Hilarious! 💕
Joseph Wiseman would have been great as having a part in The Godfather
Joseph Wiseman underrated actor. It was fantastic in the detective story and Viva Zapata many more movies definitely underrated
I agree 100 per cent ! Excellent in all his roles !
Just the way he described that breakfast made me hungry!
He just passed away at 94. I was just thinking of this scene yesterday!
Just watched an old episode of Twilight Zone where he's playing a suave character. When you see him in this you appreciate his versatility. Brilliant performance. And, what a film.
Joseph Wiseman was brilliant at playing demented characters.
Ha! Ha!
he should have got a oscar for this movie kirk and the acting by all was superb
I heartily concur !
Agreed, at least a nomination for both Douglas and Wiseman. Neither got a nomination, although Lee Grant and Eleanor Parker were nominated.
I knew that one. Just wasn't fast enough. lol
THE COVID AGENDA!!
No.
That's me on the left. I blew it! LOL
Do you remember how far Michael went as Champion?
@@markheying2830 One day I think. Just like me. It was one of those weeks where nobody could put two wins together. I remember we left at the same time after the taping and told Michael in the parking lot to not to spend all his winnings in one place. lol
Hey Peter - Michael Keller here. Truth be told: when the last clue of Double Jeopardy came up, you were ahead by a runaway. It was "This outer planet..." in the 1845 category. In half a second, I thought (A) it couldn't be Pluto (it was still considered a planet back then), as being the "outerest" would make it too obvious, and (B) it couldn't be Uranus because the writers wouldn't want a contestant to mispronounce it as "What is Yer Anus?" Process of elimination: Neptune! That's what raised me to over half your score. And yes - I got my clock cleaned in my return match.
@@michaelkeller9746 Hi there! Hope you are well. Yeah, I knew it was Neptune too, because I had previously committed to memory that Uranus was discovered in the 1700s and Neptune in the 1800s. And the Final Jeopardy I JUST won on the match before required me to know Pluto was discovered in 1930. So I knew you'd get that one right. Overall in retrospect I don't feel bad, because I could have had 100 guesses on Studs Terkel, and I never would have come up with it. I knew who he was, but I wouldn't have ever connected him to the info in the question. Although it was tough sitting in the audience for your next match, because I felt like I knew most of the questions! Reagan and Eisenhower! Argh! LOL
R.I.P. Alex Trebek (1940 - 2020)😥
You can now watch old Jeopardy! on Pluto TV.
I got home from school in time to catch the end of this game and remember this interview.
Beautiful Artist,Lovely Concert.I took my sick sister Marie to enjoy it.She sadly passed away exactly 6 weeks later.I miss her every day, when she was here heaven was a place in earth. She was a kind sweet smart soul.Thank you Belinda for making her happy for a little wgule, when she needed a break.God Bless You.
I suppose this is what inspired him to join SPECTRE.
lol. Good one.
Ha ! That's rich !
He later lost both of his hands which were replaced with crude, metal bionic appendages.
