JD as a character is very admirable I feel like it's such a fun character to play you know. He is very complex. This song is where he snaps almost in the midst of his own depression and it's driving him to his personal insanity. He has a dependence on Veronica and is attached to her and feels like he can't have her and that nothing in life is good anymore so he's trying to lure her back in complete desparity he's willing to do anything. He wants to be good for her, yet he's insaine and he doesn't really know that he just tries to disguise the anger. I don't think it's out of manipulation I think he really wants to be good for her and not have her be scared of him. Even though she should be he is utterly insaine. Idk this is my personal interpretation of him in this song but if ur curiously there you go. "VERONICA open the-open the door please" he is losing himself while trying to hold on my word this dude....
