"Of course it's obvious. It happened because you're a god, and wanted it to happen." I often think that they'd be better off if they just told her. A lot of their troubles happen because she's wishing randomly with no idea that her wishing has consequences. If she was evil, it would be different, but she's not.
There's a well-hidden possibility that even Haruhi is working with the others to prevent Kyon realising that it was him who got the godlike power three years ago. A certain Christmas party that's never shown but mentioned in the novels or manga has an aside where Haruhi and Koizumi talk about 'the arrangements', almost the only time any of the story is not seen from Kyon's POV.
Honestly this is an extremely flawed theory if you ask me. Haruhi’s power to alter reality doesn’t come from her desires, it comes from her expectations. She truly believes the supernatural is real, therefore they exist, but they remain well hidden because her common sense is mature enough to understand that they don’t appear everywhere in plain sight. Take for example Santa. While she likely would be exited by his existence, she does understand that his existence is impossible due to simple logic, a fact that has already been established. Kyon on the other hand, while still deep down having an affinity for the concept of aliens, time travellers and espers, already has a grounded enough mindset to refuse their existence, yet they still appear not just in reality but within his own personal world. Furthermore, the current existence of the supernatural does not match with Kyon’s original perception. He envisioned evil organisations and heroes, similar to that of an action TV show, however their true existence was more grounded and realistic. It should also be noted that both Haruhi and Kyon envision him as “normal”, albeit for different purposes. Haruhi sees him as the one who would stay with her and look help her find what she wishes for, as he was the first person to actually show any kind of interest, while Kyon sees himself as a representative of sorts for humanity. He isn’t a normal person mixed in with abnormal themes by mistake, but rather he is there for the sole purpose of representing “common reality”, or rather what is considered to be normal so that he can stand as a provider of common sense to the group.
At the tail-end of (chronological) Episodes 6 (22:40 to end) and 24 (22:19 to end) two parts of the same plot thread are shoe-horned onto the end(s) of the Episodes. In it, Haruhi and Kyon meet at the train station cafe (minus Itsuki, Mikuru and Yuki). During this story arc, Kyon tries to tell Haruhi that the other three are exactly the people Haruhi has been looking for (i.e. an Esper, Time Traveler, and Alien, respectively). Haruhi accuses Kyon of "messing with her", gets angry, and storms off, leaving Kyon to foot the bill (yet again).
According to logic, she believes them to be, thats why they are what they are. But her logics keeps her from embracing it. Its like for example you feel you are in the trueman show, but your logic tells you that is impossible
Deep down she's wishing for it to be the case which is why it felt so weird to her that Kyon told her exactly what she's wishing for and never told anyone
Well there is a haruhi suzumiya vn which takes place one day before the cultural festival. In one of the ending it is revealed that she subconsciously knows about their true identity but her consciousness rejects that idea because of her common sense dictating it's not possible. I don't know if it's actually canon but it's cool nonetheless

The anime was released in two ways; the broadcast order and the chronological order The one you saw on kiss anime is the chronological order, which was the blu-ray rerelease; anyway, the chronological order merged the two seasons into one full season and arranged all the episodes into the right spot when they happened. The broadcasting order on the other hand is the original way kyoano released it; it had two seasons with all the episodes shuffled out like a jigsaw puzzle.

Interesting how Kyoto split this scene in half & used it to flesh out two separate episodes!
How so?
