I think the cough assist is rather old therapy! I think therapies like the Volara, and the IPV are better therapies! I have used the cough assist before, and I felt like it was pushing stuff down into my lungs! It just never worked well! I think one thing that people need to be doing more in ICU is using the Percussion Therapy that's incorperated in the Intensive Care beds!
