This is one of the most painful moments to be a McLaren fan in GT racing, McLaren in the last couple of years struggled a lot to score podiums let alone a win due to either reliability or often get collected in incidents caused by other cars so seeing JOTA finally getting the chance they got to try bring that 720S GT3 to the top step only to have been taken out by the AMG which already by itself one of the best cars in GT3. No wonder JOTA left the series for WEC and I wouldn't blame them.

There’s a phrase I like a lot: “I’d rather die standing than live kneeling.” If these cars could talk, then I think they’d agree with that sentiment. That they’d rather crash while being raced to the limit than sit in a garage collecting dust, never moving again.

Everybody says how it's great these machines are racing instead of sitting in a museum, but I think that in a 100 years historians will curse us for being so careless with historic artefacts.

It is INSANE to see these guys pushing these cars as if it's the 1970s! Makes me sad to see some wrecked, but that is totally offset by the brilliant spectacle of these cars flying around Monaco as originally intended.
