After going back and forth between the two furniture builds on Kasho's channel, I got an okay picture of his lathe duplicator. It's basically the head of a spindle gouge which is being guided by an X-Y axis jig, and following a template (not shown). I actually went through the procedure of building my own duplicator using a spindle gouge. I can tell you - it's tough! I had the gouge very firmly in the jig, at the perfect 40 degree angle, following a template. It made nice cuts but had a tendency to 'catch' and drive itself towards the middle of the spindle, thus gouging and ruining the cut. I'll make a video soon out of all my findings. KASHO - please show us more images of your duplicator! Your audience is very interested in how you made it work.
mind blowing complexity
16:01 thats a really interesting duplication method on the lathe. It looks like you have a bowl gouge, on a track (I assume it's following a pattern) - and the vacuum hose directly over it. The cut looks almost perfect right off the tool.
What are you doing at 7:19? It looks like a laundry hose. Is it a cutting tool for rounding ?
Fantastic craftsmanship. Very relaxing to watch. Thank you
Very nice work. I have added a 👍, but ... please try not using loud, repetitive music. The sound of the tool is enough, and it's more realistic.

Muito gostei muito do processo
Excellente craftmanship..
Cheater
Like. Lot of hand work. What was the second coat?
Thanks for sharing your techniques
Please after applying the vanish why do you clean with the cloth. How long should you wait before you clean with the cloth
This is marvelous
Could you tell how you fix the seat tô the chair?
Such a great piece of art. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Very informative video of the process. I was very surprised to see the forster bit used for the rounding around the tenon. What shape is the router bit that you use later to complete the shaping?
Pleasure to watch. Impressed by the execution. So skillful!
Simply beatiful. What kind of oil do you use? Thank you for posting
The most beautiful drawers I've ever seen. Such elegance.
Beautiful work, I wonder how many hours to complete this masterpiece?
Very beautiful Congratulations 👏 👏 you are an artist!
Your work is stunning. THanks for sharing. Could you post something on the lathe jig it seems you use for turning the legs? Interesting! THanks again.
Wonderfully made and designed. Could you share the radious of the seat curve? Thanks in advance. Best of success to you.
very beautiful and minimalistic
Thank you for watching.
Your chair looks really good.
Wonderful work and great vids. Thanks for posting.
Cool 😎
Maestro! Beautiful work.
When you were mortising the round legs I was wondering how you were going to make the cheeks on the stretchers fit tight against the round legs. Using the forstner bit for the top and bottom was brilliant, but I didn't get how you did the portion on the side of the tenon (with the router). Is that a special router bit? It looked like a dovetail bit but I'm not sure how that would work.
Hi, The bit I'm using is a semi-original router bit. I shaved a Dove-tail bit into a slight curve using a diamond. I hope this answers your question. Thank you watching.
@@kasho2637 Thanks for this reply. Those concave shoulders are just one of the many amazing techniques you used in building this desk. Most people would create a flat face on the leg to join the rail, your solution is much more elegant.
Nice, crisp work. Looking forward to #2
Wonderful !
What a gorgeous piece. I love the economical design - a typical CNC-made Wegner style chair uses huge amounts of lumber. Thanks for posting!
Lovely chair, presented in a quiet athmosphere. Thank you for sharing both the process and the result. I see both Japanese and Scandinavian influences. Have subscribed and also found you work on Instagram. Would love to see more of your work!
hate the music. Be a better video with only tool sounds
A really enjoyable video. A pleasure to watch you work.
Beautiful!
Many thanks for that, 4 very good videos. Please could you tell us what the oil you used for the finish is?
Thank you for watching. It is a blend of flaxseed oil(non voiled), sesame oil, and tung oil. In some cases, mix varnish.
@@kasho2637Thank you for these videos and sharing your process to make several chairs exactly the same. Makes one wonder how the ancients made such chairs only with hand tools.. On the one chair you applied a red color. Could you please tell me what it was?
