Yea, Spotify is good for fans to find new music
Not only fans, it's good for the artist to be found. Big money, however, is found off the platform. Getting fans off of Spotify is your task. Calling it wack is very wrong and suggests that you don't really know what it can do for you.
I agree, as a DJ doing a show playing all new release music each week, it definitely helps keep me tapped in with what's been dropping. It's model for paying artists could be a lot better tho
But im curious how can spotify pay joe rogan 100s of millions but you get 30k streams and cant buy dinner but you might be able to buy a beer

30k cas thats 30k times your music may be heard by others but streams dont put food on the table

Short term thinking. 30k people hearing your song and then coming to a show or buying a merch is better than 1 person with a CD listening to your music. Stream is advertising. Shows and merch are the product.
Totally agreed I stopped In here to say the same. As a musician I’d definitely be way more stoked to have 30k people hear my music. It’s hard to get anyone to sit down and listen
