Nice rash guard!
Beautiful stickmanship. I always wondered how they used boken for practice without getting hurt.
Great video. I was looking for drills to work with a partner without making them take jerks and throws repeatedly and this is perfect. Focus on footwork and repetition
now that looks really fun
"One strike to attack the many" ON SAMURAI BASIS ITS TRUE U CAN SACRIFICE TO SLASH U BUT YOU CAN EVADE CLOSE TO IT AND MAKE ARTS WHATEVER U WANT OR MAYBE KILL THE OPPONENT. I DONT ALWAYS RELY ON KATANA ON FIGHT. IF YOU KNOW BUDO YOU KNOW DEATH. THATS MY KNOWLDGE BASED ON EXPERIENCE KATANA FOR ME IS SELF SACRFICE. EGO. EVEN GUN EGO. ALL WEAPON ARE EGO. IF YOUR GOOD PERSON YOU DONT RELY ON EGO SELF EGO WEAPON. A EGO IS SELF SACRFICE. A SELF SACRFICE IS EVIL.
Wood stick vs samurai.....

Hi
I just started Iaido, and these are the very things I am struggling with. Thank you for the pointers! I am struggling with sweaty hand when I am putting the sword back in the saya... When I am pulling the saya back and rotating it, the saya slips and I keep having to adjust...

The guys are being gentlemen, but the girl is taking advantage like a professional fighter. She is mean and deliberate. Beautiful, clean technique on her part.

Great kuzushi
Such a good video. More judo tips please 🙏

One of them is a total clown.
wait wait wait , how comes in iaido have fencing , when basically iaido is a solo ?!?!
You dont have armor here. Theres no going back once you fully commit to a move. This is closer to a real combat than kendo in that regard as both dont want to actually be hurt or actually hurt the other. It takea a great deal of mental and bodily control to fully.commit to these actions while also looking out for the safety of your fellow iaidoka. They both know when each other messed up, got hit, or would have died. But the point here is to experiment, use your training, and also in a way join with the soul of your opponent to no longer think of their next move and you move, but rather just be.
Amazing talent.
Very helpful. I've ran through these exercises and found they have improved my form and structure. Still much work to be done, but I can see improvement.

wtf
No better way to learn, then to share the mats.

I liked how they were admiring each others hits like that one hit and the other guy was like “WOAHHH”

NOICE!!! .... NOICE!!!
How would this function in a more MMA or BJJ fashion for throwing a larger opponent when they can sprawl?
You would need to chain foward throws in sequence following the sprawl, as they build up to their stance, or as they enage you for their own offense (striking or grappling). Example: You throw a striking combo into a double leg takedown attempt, your opponent sprawls and pummels to build back up into their stance, then you use their pressure towards you to attempt a forward throw. If they continue to back away following the sprawl, you would either need to chain backward throws or foot techniques depending on their escape trajectory and orientation. In both cases, you would be the more effective and aggresive grappler, giving you the scorecard advantage.
Fab. Thank you so much
it kinda looks like their dancing
Domo arigato
Great turorial and great work, i Will use this in my training👍
Absolutely superb Vid. It is an excellent guide to progressing from the bginning to quite advanced 'flip' falls. Many thanks for constructing it. (y)
great tutorial, thanks
Truly looked like a dance Amazing stuff
It did and that’s what most people don’t get…when training with somebody it’s more like a dance then an actual fight.
How can you pull him towards you to then push him in the opposite direction to throw. Questionnable kuzushi for the technique. Might work on very light opponent.
I was searching for someone saying it before stating it myself. I see tori unbalanced
@@Baucelion si t’es québécois, salut! :p
Thank you!
well done, young lady
Fkn anxiety waiting for you to throw. Lol I understand the method but maybe not the best for algorithms
It's incredible like no other martial art form you guys make the best of it and the greatest of it I just wish I could have had stayed so I can make me who I am and what I am and what my spirit can be 🥋👊😉👍🥋
Awesome demonstration!
