MAN WHAT A GROUP THERE IS A LOT OF GUITAR GODS ON STAGE
Me and Dad used to jam the Band in his 1977 lifted ford truck. He turned me on to the beyond soulful sounds of them. I’ve seen most the accompanying musicians and friends he has up there over the years. The legacy is unreal seeing Lucas up there and Warren omg 😭😭😭
Does anyone know who is singing lead vocals on the weight? Thanks 😊
Take a load of Annie, put the load on me.
I was in my best friend's hospital room as he was dying from a liver disease. I was reading a paper that had a shocking story about Levon Helm dying. The very last thing that I was able to tell my friend before he passed was that Levon Helm died. (My friend & I had a great time at the 1974 Bob Dylan and the Band concert in Ft. Worth.)
Great stuff
WOW just fantastic thanks I loved it
Legends of epic proportions, ❤❤❤❤ Take me home,❤ This is what, back n the music was, ❤ Heaven sent,❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Saw this band several times at the fox in atlanta. Awesome as a unit even though they didnt like each other. Rick Danko said it best when he said that levon helm was just a stubborn motherfucker
Didnt I read that Robbie and their manager stole all the money - put all the copyrights in their names only? That caused more than a bit of tension, I'd bet. Levon lived a good long life. Isn't Garth still around Woodstock?
Robbie watched 3 of his best friends become addicts. I think he just had to move on.
Robbie went too Hollywood, ego's get hungry, and THE BAND played on a couple more decades........
Playing well till the end, never got arthritis! RIP.
Such a talent
I loved this video and all of music icons playing in this video
was this las year ?
Proof the without Levon, RR talent was exactly Zero!!! Amen!!!🙏🏼
I understand your hatred. Yet this is an all star band showing respect to a legendary band and music.
This is what I’m greatful for it hits my hart God bless America ! 😂 we are Blesed
Robbie Robertson was such a great. We are lucky he appeared in so many films. Don't think I saw him live but I sang and danced to his work in films. No Direction Home..his outstanding video of his own work for MTV. Fallen Angel.. Testimony. Testify. That was important to me when my own brother died. Thank you to this fabulous Native American soul!
hi there, everyone. is there a video of the whole concert? thanx
It's just not the same w/o Levon playing drums and singing... There will nevet be another group like The Band .... and i'm ok with that because their music lives on. ( R.I.P Robbie Rick Richard and the heart & soul of The Band Levon ❤ )
Thanks for this and it was the perfect thing for him, he played the Robbie Robertson Strat, his signature guitar, and played his signature licks very well. was perfect, thanks for sharing this wonderful video :)
I have loved Robbie Robertson all my life. LOVED.
I fell in love with Robbie and The Band way back in the day. Rest in peace Robbie, Richared, Rick, and Levon. We love you all!💜
These very special music makers…..who is to replace this generation? We have lost. Robbie and Emmieloo
This is American Rock and Roll.... It is GREAT!!! Thank you RR for all you done did do
i saw them in cambridge in 1970. i took two rolls of film close up. one camera had a telephoto
Can anyone name any of the musos supporting ? Great finale. RIP Robbie. 🙏
Great Robbie Robertson! the leader of the Band!
Can you imagine standing on stage with that guy? So much talent up there, but Robbie is the source. Just love him. Hope we call can carry his music forward and build on it, and I am thankful for his inspiration. Also that conga player has a phenomenal voice!
One of the greatest nights of my life. 2nd row. Got to meet Robbie's son also...
When was this please and where did this wonderful event take place? RIP Robbie. THANK YOU ❤❤❤
November 2019 in Nashville, TN@@mdoreenbarrett8728
Who was the guy with the real high voice?
Wow Robbie Robertson Warren Hanes Vince Gill Emmylou Harris amongst others what a great line up ❤
I cried my eyes out. Love you Robbie, RIP.
I've always loved the treatment Warren gave The Weight... beautiful vocals and harmonies, and the sweetest licks that really sit in the pocket of the song. Reminds me of his time with The Dead.
Just shows you there will never be another The Band.
R.I.P. Robbie…what a great ride you gave all of us…
A statement posted on Dylan's Twitter, said: “This is shocking news. Robbie was a lifelong friend. “His passing leaves a vacancy in the world.” The Band - which consisted of Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson and Robertson, profoundly influenced popular music in the 1960s and 70s - I agree "...leaves a vacancy in the world"
Such a warm person who contributed so much for us sinners - makes me cry when I think of Robbie I kind of a lost my big brother I bet I will see him on a resurrection day - He sings here "I do believe it´s time".. what can I say I miss him
❤ Lukas played with Robbie in the Playing for Change vesron with so many artist from over the world I love this song special place memory when life seemed so much easier im 62 and so maybe that is why. Robbie sang I shall be released at his last Crossroads brings me tears. ❤ we lost another great.
I bought my first Band album in ‘76, so watching Robbie’s last public performance is like seeing an old friend but also bittersweet. The guy did pretty good for a kid from Cliffside (Scarborough, Ontario).
Robbie was the best but this is a hot mess of singers who think the songs are so simple they dont have to warm up. A Wave of mighty hubris, think if you throw enough" stereotypical rootsy sounds onstage you'll get the " last waltz," Truly ridiculous. They just don't have the personal talent of the old schoolers.Puleeze. More like starzz than artists.
This performance was too important for such sloppy camera work...grrr.
I see my light come shining from the west down to the east
Any day now. A man who swears he is not to blame. I see my light come shinning from the west down to the east. Anyday
