I will say, although even the cast admitted the show was not ending the way they had imagined or even wanted. They did the best they could with what they were given, on top of it being peak Covid back then. They still managed to set up a poignant ending. We all knew Dean would never stop hunting, and he wouldn't exactly know what to do with himself had He and Sam retired. So it makes total sense he died first. He went down swinging, just like he said. He finally got to be at peace with all the war going on inside him all these seasons. Seeing him genuinely smile, you can see the actual calmness in his expressions, for the first time ever. Dean has Peace. Sam was much more well adjusted to life, and always kind of just wanted a regular life to begin with. Made sense to me that he did his best to carry forward. He knew Dean would want him to keep going, live a life. Have a life that's not just endlessly hunting and being alone. He finally got to retire from hunting, fell in love with a woman again finally, so many years after Jessica. eventually, had his own Son even. It looked like he got to live a relatively decent retirement after hunting. But you could always see there was something missing. He still always looked slightly depressed, or somber. His brother. I am sure there were so many moments in Sam's life after Dean passed that he wanted nothing more than to just be with his brother again, I am sure he probably even thought once or twice if there was anything he could do. But realizing that's not how the world works anymore, no more "bring backs" no more "restarts". Just moving forward. The fact when Sam reached heaven, he didn't spawn somewhere semi-random like Dean did with Bobby there to greet him to Heaven. The 1st thing Sam did when he got to Heaven was find Dean instantly. That was SO touching and heartfelt. When they embraced, I felt that. You have to imagine the fact that for Sam it has been probably 50-60+ years since he has seen his brother. For Dean I am sure it was long enough. Heaven wasn't complete for Dean without Sam. Life wasn't complete for Sam without Dean. Now they get to live in infinity together with all their friends and family. Everyone they lost along the way, finally reuniting. Also I love how there is no conclusion on what happened to Chuck. I seriously love how Chuck spent so many seasons making himself the pivotal key part in his own stories over so many universes. But in the one that really mattered, he lost it all. He was no longer "God" he had no special powers, he had no strength left. He was just a regular, fragile, able to get hurt and sick human being like all those he watched die over and over. I love how Sam even emphasized that he will be nothing, no one will remember him, or know who he is. He will age, get sick, and die just like the rest of him. Nothing remarkable or memorable. Leaving Chuck in the dust, alone, to fend for himself. So satisfying. It let's the audience kind of make up their own idea of what might have happened after. I imagine with the fact he has no birth certificate, no SSN, no form of ID, he suffered pretty hard in the real world. Can't get a job, has no money, can't get even an apartment with no form of ID or job. I imagine his human life was short and miserable. Probably died alone, cold, hungry, crying, miserable in a corner alley somewhere in the rain thinking "Why ? Why me? How could this have happened to me?! I'm God!" Only to wake up in Hell, with Rowena Queen of Hell waiting for him with that devilishly dashing smile on her face "Well, well, well, who have we got here? A wee God, fallen so far from home?" and cut to black. That's how I imagine Chuck's end would be.

I love This new Take on such a Beautiful song, after all it was their song, it was a perfect ending although I wish Dean had the chance to have his own family, I still am pissed The way he died, seriously, after all the creatures and gods etc he killed only to have some Bitch ass Vamp kill him ! Wish at some point during Dean's drive that Miracle would have appeared in the car with him. After all, all dogs go to heaven.

I just noticed that bobby is also standing on the bridge as the screen pulls away i think never noticed loved this ending made me cry

Here 4 year's later crying all over again i have a little brother&we are the same as these 2 lol and now i have 3 son's an my 2older ones are literally these 2an the younger one is on the way to grow up to be like his older brother lol a mini Dean😢😂💔I'm wearing deans outfit today fuk it lol😢

Supernatural about halfway through the series turned into a stupid soap opera but the first half was superb and this was a really good ending.

Great season ending

My only complaint is the show went on too long for this to have full meaning. I know it sounds mean but seasons 10-14 really just went so off the rails and got borderline corny Some storylines were good ideas but the execution was eh Like cas as Lucifer instead of the normal Lucifer during the chuck scenes was garbage (he was good but it didn’t have the full effect) The big bads blended together The tone of the show got less dark The men of letters and the bunker shouldn’t have ever been a thing it took so much away from the show And the biggest mistake was bringing Mary back It messed up the very foundation of the show Even the episode where John came back was hurt by that It should have been deans desire was for them both to return and Mary never ever ever coming back as a regular character It just felt so wrong. Put the evil chuck storyline around season 9-10 latest and then end it That would have been perfect

So cool they had Neoni do a cover of Carry On for the finale (they are a pair of sisters who mostly write original songs if you are online a lot you might have heard their song Darkside)

For those of us that started this journey in the beginning this finale was , while not originally planned , was fitting and we appreciated it nonetheless.

It seems like a lifetime ago when a puppy-eyed, shaggy haired boy with the cutest dimples and a ski slope of a nose just barged into my heart. He has been firmly ensconced in there since forever, through multiple deaths, comebacks and story arcs. It was extremely difficult to let him go. Sam Winchester stan for life.

So what happens to Chuck when he finally dies? The Empty? Probably not heaven. I'd love to see him die, and then hear Rowena say, "Hello, Chuck!" 😂

Im sobbing bc Sam named his son Dean not only after his brother, his hero; he did it to find a way to give Dean the life he should've had: a loving and carefree childhood, the safely chaotic and rebellious teen years, a supportive education, and room to make his own way, have his own family, while lovingly anchoring him to a wonderful home life. 😭😭😭😭😭

This show catches flak over their finale. They had to film during the height of Covid. Made the most of it and it was emotional as hell even four years later

This really reminds me of my brother. We used to watch Supernatural together all the time. We even had a Impala which he had the idea to name Baby. Miss you every day little bro. R.I.P. Luke Rose.

This gives the impression that while Sam is living his whole life, Dean has been lost on a set forest roads for years.

They need to make a spin off from Sam’s son life as a hunter

I hate that covid means we didn't get the finale that they originally wanted, with more of the cast including Cas and Jack being there.

To think I literally watched this show when I just finished high school. Went on to university, went for nysc, got married and now with my daughter 😂😂😂😂😂. It was truly a good one. Thank u Sam and Dean 🫶😍😍

Yo creo que parte de la muerte de Sam a demás es por su edad también fue por las constantes batallas que tuvo que a pasar y el tiempo le termino afectando.por que creó siguió cazando un tiempo después de la muerte de Dean. Su cuerpo fue llevado al límite por mucho tiempo y al ya no contar con la protección de Chuck todo lo que peleó su cuerpo empezó a monstra síntomas de las batallas que peleó. No sé si la sangre de demonio tuvo que ver .yo creo que si pero eso nunca se va a saber.pero por lo menos tuvo la vida que siempre quiso murió en su ley y Dean también murió como quiso peleando. Yo prefiero este final y que no haya otra temporada. Por qué seria repetitivo .poner a otros protagonista ya no funcionaria por qué Dean y sam son inrepasables y también por qué arruinaria el final de sam por qué peleo y sangro y pudo tener la vida que quiso no estaría bien que tiren por la basura todo lo que hizo y no tener la vida que siempre quiso.todo tiene un inicio arranco en un puente con los Dos hermanos y terminó en ese mismo puente con los dos viendo el horizonte un guión en la canción al final del camino encontraras la paz cuando todo esto haya terminado.para mi fue un buen final
