This is the first time I'm using epoxy in my builds. So I thought of making something simple like wood coasters. But it turns out, it's no so simple to work with epoxy as a total beginner. I had to try 3 times before figuring out how to making these coasters correctly. Those dowel pins just seem like you're putting a whole lot of work into weakening the joint. They have aesthetic appeal I guess, but structurally, a total waste of effort.
What is that tool you are using to make the dowel holes?
It's a dowel jig kit. You can get one for $10

It's easier to do with table saw. But can easily done with a hand saw as well.
