This is the first time I'm using epoxy in my builds. So I thought of making something simple like wood coasters. But it turns out, it's no so simple to work with epoxy as a total beginner.     Those dowel pins just seem like you're putting a whole lot of work into weakening the joint. They have aesthetic appeal I guess, but structurally, a total waste of effort.

      Thank you 😊 Pine is a softwood. I don't think it's suitable for a mallet. You should get some hardwood.

      It's easier to do with table saw. But can easily done with a hand saw as well.
