This is super cool! Definitely gonna try this soon
Awesome! I hope you can find many more you like as well :)
Why did u put the King of Clubs on2 the 6 of Spades in the Tableau...I don't understand that?
That's a good question. The tableau piles in this game act like a combination between tableau piles and waste piles. You may play the top card of the stock onto any of the 4 tableau piles no matter what the top card of the tableau pile is. If you need more clarification, please let me know :)
@practicalgamingcenter ...ty u so much 4always responding & explaining things. I so enjoy solitaire & all the games u have introduced me2. Ty
@@franciskamarsh8497 Awesome! You're welcome! I love to spread the joy of games! :) Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for the game! Happy thanksgiving!
You're welcome, and thank you! I hope you also had a good time!
Are most deals winnable like freecell, or is there a good deal of luck like klondike?
I am not sure what the exact odds are. With enough forward thinking I bet more could be won than lost. If you want to make it easier, you can add another foundation pile. If you want to make it harder, you can have less foundation piles.
are we allowed to strip while we play?
Welcome to the world of games, you have the power to add and take away any rule you would like to.
this is not what i thought it would be
That does not surprise me 😅
very cool! honestly the entire time i was when i was supposed to start taking off my clothes
I like how simple your explanations are! It’s a fun game :)
Thank you! I appreciate hearing that!
I’m genuinely intrigued by/interested in the book, but I have a concern: How many of the games in it are like this one? Because this seems overly simple and entirely luck-based, which is the exact opposite of my taste in solitaire games. Also, I’ll assume you’ve seen the “gridcannon” video/card game. How much do you have that scratches a similar itch? Because that’s my personal gold standard for non-conventional solitaire games.
About half a dozen of the games are entirely luck based. I curated the book to have a wide array of games with different rules and layouts for different experience levels. Gridcannon is very unique and had I discovered it before my book was published, I would have put it in. I do have puzzle type games that might scratch a similar itch, where you do have to strategize card placement. There are a good amount of games in here that stray away from the traditional klondike/solitaire feel people are used to.
@@practicalgamingcenter Gotcha. Half-a-dozen out of 52 sounds like a good proportion to me. I’ll probably put the book on my Christmas list!
Awesome! There is a wide range of games in the book. I bet you would find ones you like!
Very unique, yet very simple game, glad to play it :)
I enjoyed playing it! I discovered it today!
Very interesting name, nice game!
It is an interesting name! I've seen many solitaire games with unusual names.
A new video!
Yes!
I love your videos! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Thank you! I love making them!
This seems like a very fun game, can’t wait to play it!
Awesome! A deck of cards really can be endless fun!
bro had two ace of spades to explain this by the way🤣
This game uses two decks of playing cards, 104 cards total. So there are 2 of every card.
did you watch the first 10 seconds of the video?
just checked, he says its 2 decks of cards at 0:02
Thank you for the time stamp! I appreciate your comments.
Just found your channel! So many soliaire games! Love it! When growing up, our family game was multiplayer solitaire. Basically normal solitaire but everyone can play on each other's foundation piles (likes aces, not their hands). Then the winner is whoever ran out of cards first, or who had the fewest cards when everyone is stuck. Have you heard or played this? I haven't found anyone in my lifetime who has played this game.
I have heard of it with two players. This sounds so cool! I want to try it with a couple of friends!!! Thank you!
@@practicalgamingcenter Hands will be slapped if everyone is competent with their card handling and reaction times. Just FYI. We implemented a no "double handed" moves when playing cards on the foundation piles otherwise the piles get too messed up and too chaotic.
What exactly is the no "double handed?" Does it mean you can only play 1 card at a time and not lay down two or more at a time onto a foundation pile?
🎉
🎉
what stew the chances of winning? I won on my first try
Good job!! I am not sure what the odds are of winning, but you did it!
very good game
I'm glad you liked it! This is a fun one!
Another nice1....ty 🕊
You're very welcome!

@@practicalgamingcenter He's some kind of Wizard.
Not yet 😅
Okay where do these come from? _Is there a Mystical Muse of Card Games?_ Hurmph. I suspected as much.
Hahaha 😆. Well, solitaire has been around for hundreds of years. So I am finding them all over. There are many more to come :)
@@practicalgamingcenter Oh. I thought you were some genius inventor of Solitaire Card Games, or a Wizard of Entertainment. _so disappointing..._ I hope this is explained in the Preface of yer Book. lmao
Haha, well, I read and write about games to help me make them by familiarizing myself with more game mechanics. I did create one of the games for my solitaire book! I played hundreds to find the most unique ones
A new game!
Another! This one is pretty unique due to being able to stack similar ranks! I was pleasantly surprised
I love this concept thanks 👍
You're welcome!! :)
Another excellent video!
Thank you!
Just subscribed. Just ordered your book. Good Stuff!
I am very passionate about learning, making, and sharing games, so I really appreciate your support. Thank you!
Can you move an entire run to a card
@@Clumsyone Good question. For backbone, only one card may be moved at a time, so no runs may be moved from one pile to another. However, if you want to make the game easier, you could allow yourself to move runs from one pile to another, thus increasing the odds of winning.
when resetting the stock, do you simply go backwards or go from the top of the deck? like in the video, would you start with the 3, or flip the deck over and start from there?
You would start from the 3. I thought it would be interesting to go backwards on the redeal since i haven't seen that mechanic before :)
Can u move a whole pile...or only the top card of that pile?
Only the top card, not the whole pile :)
@@practicalgamingcenter ty 🕊
You're welcome!
Horizontal...vertical...or diagonal? Aren't the cards going 2b in 1of those positions anyway?
Not exactly. If you look at the jack of clubs and ace of hearts in the thumbnail, they aren't on the same horizontal line, vertical line, or diagonal line as each other
@@practicalgamingcenterI get it now...ty😊
You're welcome!
Ty again 4another card game 2play. I have ur book...but the videos r nice 2actually see how it's played 🕊
I like making both! The book is great for traveling and camping, and i like the videos as well for the visual :)
Seems pointless. There is no choice, no strategy.
It's a chance game. It's more of a relaxing type of game than a strategy game. It's not for everyone, but many do enjoy them 😊.
Love you're chanel Shannon 👍
Thank you, plastic!!
Never heard of this one. Great explanation! I’ll have to check it out!
Thanks! There are so many games out there. I enjoy finding and sharing them!
Can't u shuffle the waste pile 2create a new stock & continue the game...& not stop after the 1st stock pile runs out?
You can! In fact, with many solitaire games, you can make it easier by allowing more redeals, or harder by allowing fewer redeals :) In doing so, you made your own variation!
@practicalgamingcenter ty so much 4ur response...I am enjoying ur videos. I also received ur book 🕊
@@franciskamarsh8497 I am so glad you like the videos and I really hope you enjoy my book! Thank you for your support :)
Could you make a comparison video where you rank the types of solitaires based on their decision space?
I looked into it, and i don't think I'm as knowledgeable about descision space in game mechanics as i should be yet to be able to accurately make a good video about it. Maybe one day! I will keep it in the back of my mind :)
New video!!!!
Yes!
Ty 🕊
You're welcome!

New video!

Great video! I've always found solitaire fascinating, did you know it dates back to the 18th century? The classic card game has many variations, and Royal Aids Solitaire adds a unique twist. It's perfect for solo play, but it can also be a fun challenge with friends! Your book sounds like a wonderful resource for both new and experienced players.
It dates far back, and a deck of cards used to be very expensive. Each card had to be hand painted!
New video!!! Man you’ve produced a lot faster than I do! I need to film another solitaire.
I love learning new games!
Busy man making so many videos!
Busy indeed!
New game!
It is an unusual one with the redeals and reserve pile!
So many interesting games that you've been filming!
There are so many out there! They are fun to find!
Thanks for the clear breakdown of idle Aces Solitaire! I love the twist of using two decks. The tips on moving cards between the foundation piles are really helpful.
You're welcome! I am glad you found it helpful!
Love these videos!
Thanks!
I’m glad you covered this. Parlett’s book had an explanation that wasn’t making any sense.
I'm glad you found this useful!
Thanks for sharing this! Your explanation is easier to understand and it's a big help to the begginers. Looking forward to trying it out!
Thanks! It is simple and relaxing so i enjoy it a lot
