The diesel is economical reliable and torquy. This migjy be a spirty car, but its still an suv and i believe suvs should have mainly diesels or maybe big petrol engines. They should aslo be able to go offroad. Luckily this cayenne can and so can many audi suvs equioed with the sport quattro awd. Otherwise, i may as well get a wagon or a fastback.

I had a 2014 Audi a6 TDI prestige. Beast of a car but I only had it for 8,000 miles (until 150,000) and had a world of problems with the EGR and oil cooler.

For example, before people think this is just a little tax - a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado costs around $80.000 in the US, around $70.000 in UAE - this car costs $195.000,- with just a 4-cyl diesel engine in the Netherlands. You can say, we get fked by our government.

One of the reasons the old 4Runner is so reliable is because it doesn't have a lot of unnecessary technology. I paid $36K for my 2004 4Runner Sport 4.7-liter V8 when it was new, and I am still driving it every day in 2025. It has 200K miles on it and I have not had to do any unscheduled maintenance during the entire 21 years that I have owned it. I feel like I got my money's worth, and I feel like the newer ones are worth $50K. That's only a $650 per year price increase. Also - I could easily sell my 2004 for $10K.
