From its inception, Commonwealth Home Fashions has been a company that brings people together. It was founded by three brothers in 1946, and they named it after the Royal Canadian Air Force’s Commonwealth Flying Squadron, where one of them served during World War II. At the time, it was called the Commonwealth Curtain Company-one of many department stores in Canada. The company has undergone many changes over seven decades, including operating two factories in England from 1957 to 1981; acquiring Richmark International of Boston and amalgamating the company into Commonwealth in 1995; being Dan River’s distributor in Canada, and manufacturing parts of the Dan River line for the Canadian market in the 1980s and ‘90s; and many more!

Commonwealth Home Fashions operates facilities in Montreal, Canada, and Willsboro, New York. We have built our reputation over the years by producing and importing high-quality soft window treatments, decorative pillows and throws, shower curtains, and more.
