great video! I also hate the shipping war; not because of the diversity of opinion, but because of the intolerance of the diversity of opinions. Even if one side is canon, appreciate that the other side has value. Every opinion in valid until it shames or insults someone else's opinion. for example, I wish sephiroth could be a redeemable character. In my opinion, Jenova corrupts Sephiroth and causes him to do these evil things. (in truth, however, it's quite possibly an undeniable fact that Sephiroth, while coaxed by Jenova, was in control and committed those atrocities on his own and is not redeemable). Either way, it's a nice fan wish to hang on to because I feel bad for the guy and his background. Either way, all opinions are valuable and come from a source that is precious (the hearts and passions of fans who love this game). So that's what we should all hang on to; the love of this game and the hope that P3 is beyond all of our expectations and the story ends with an epic (and good) bang.... (but not meteor bang.... the metaphorical bang... ahem). anyway, once again, great video! Thanks for posting and keep up the great work!

i only started getting into ff7 when remake came out and zack quickly became my fave character, next to tifa. to me, i find him a better character than cloud and i really do not enjoy cloud at all (i only like cloud gameplay wise lol). but that's just me. and i'm always happy to see any videos talking about zack.

Best opening line ever: Carbunkle's cute! lol After learning more of the Turks in BC, it's really disturbing to have to watch them do this. I can imagine Tseng and the other three were not sad to see the end of President Shinra. It's crazy if you think about it, Tseng, Reno, and Rude are like to Rufus what Tifa, Aerith, and Zack are to Cloud, but in a more professional sense. Love hearing the voice of Wedge and Badger from Breaking Bad in one. Biggs: "Not a fan of kids? But you have so much in common." The pizza talk was great with Jessie. That hurt. I wonder if these memories of loss will tie into the lifestream memory sequence in part 3. I found something VERY interesting in Rebirth chapter 11. Christine, the woman in living in Cloud's house is a chef and self-proclaimed chanteur (French for 'singer'). It's been established that Tifa is a great cook and she has done it professionally, and Aerith sang one of the best songs in the series. Did anyone else ever cook for and sing to Cloud? :)

If anything in this video is scary, it's Squidward lol! Who am I kidding? We all love Squidward lol. Jazzy, I promised you I had a theory. Surprise, surprise, it's about that evil individual again. You know... Her... Love and Hate in Final Fantasy VII: Before Scarlet dies after her final fight with the party during Midgar Raid, she tells the party that her Junon gas chamber, or stagnant mako chamber did permanent internal damage to Tifa who will now never be able to have children. Thematically this gives the audience concept of loss through the roof, and it would also put a lot of players in tears. But in this scenario there is also a beautiful implied gesture from Barret to Tifa in that he gave Marlene to her as a gift to help replace something personal that was stolen from her. So there is a positive to the negative!

This whole sequence at Wall Market is legendary. Especially the dance number 😢 So many times in this game and Rebirth where I was just like "is this really happening?!" but Cloud busting a move is somewhere near the top. Also, what Andrea says at the end is just perfect.

Like she's not struggling, not breathing heavy, just standing there comfortably before handing it to Cloud. Love her to death. Also more of Cloud and Tifa being in sync with Cloud finishing her sentence with a threat

I think it's funny that people use the dress reveal scene as a "omg look at Cloud he's so in love he's speechless" and to me its just wow Aerith looks gorgeous. A lot different than she normally does it's kinda shocking. It's like seeing that one friend who only wears sweats and t-shirts step out all dressed up for an event

I've kept up to date on watching all First Soldier chapters of EC. I've read Maiden and Traces. I know I still need to read On the Way to a Smile and The Kids are Alright. Anything else I'm missing, Jazzy?

The Airbuster had to be this good because it was the debut of the best boss theme in all gaming. Ever since finishing BC, I'm seeing the Shinra leaders in an even brighter light. President Shinra is completely out of his mind. Heidegger seems ready to snap when he's under stress. Self-control is not his strength. Rufus never liked him in OG, and exploited his stupidity many times before in BC. There is so much dynamite to the Rufus-Heidegger/Scarlet situation. Palmer's a coward and Hojo doesn't care lol. But if Scarlet and Heidegger find out what Rufus has been doing, they will be so happy when they think he's out of the way. Here's how I see their endings right now in my head: Heidegger confronts Cloud with a battalion of Shinra's finest. But the two Soldiers who also come to help turn out to be Kunsel and Luxiere. Heidegger knows he's finished and concedes. Cloud gives him a clean death. Palmer tries to flee and pilot himself out of Midgar. Shot down by Cid, crashes too close to the nest of Piko and his black chocobo mate. They see him as a threat. Later on after the party leaves Midgar, we see the chocobos have carried the golden egg to the farm. Maybe a little blood on the beak... Deepground didn't respond after her last weapon failed. Cornered by Tifa, she placed materia over her own arm and it slid in just as easily as you please. The time had come to test her products personally. It did not go well. In the end, her shape glows as all bright red light and flashes out, giving us the greatest and last OG battle enemy death. But here has what has really been on my mind and I can't help think about it with a machine like the Airbuster and all the hologram stuff. Queen's Blood. At first, that spectacle we got with that game gave me Deepground and Jenova vibes. But lately it's giving me junction and sorceress vibes. Nojima mentioned a new element that Kitase wanted in Part 3, not present in the original. With the lore of VII and X, I felt the universe connection fit like a glove over a hand. Could VIII be the diamond ring? It would certainly be a creative challenge for Nojima, but easily doable for someone like him. 'Two different peoples from two different Planets who undertook the great journey for reasons unknown. But how long ago did they get here?' What if that mechanism that Bugenhagen uses in the Forgotten Capitol to see Aerith's death, was built from the last remains of Junction Machine Ellone?

Ahh yes my favorite activity; watching Tifa and Cloud not understand how deeply important and impactful they are to the other person. Seriously though the promise scene is one of my favorite scenes in these games it’s animated so nicely, the music is so peaceful and full of idk. Wonder I think would describe it best. Two kids completely unaware of how the other truly feels about them not knowing that after that night they wouldn’t be able to truly meet again for years of torture, trauma, and hard times

Hojo, Fuhito, Hollander, and Shinra ultimately get impaled by their own swords. Is being swallowed up by a Midgar reactor the fate that the Planet has in store for Scarlet? An interesting thought on Cloud and cats lol: Between Zack the Puppy, Stamp, and the representation of Fenrir, there is also room for interpretation with cats. Cats in real life will love their owners as much as a dog, but the way they show affection and the way they open up to it with strangers is different. They tend not to want their space invaded quickly and come around when you let them do their own thing, in general, that is. Cloud and Tifa's relationship right now is like a pair of cats lol. Reach out the paw, hesitate, 'wait hold on,' can't go too fast or he might cat out.' Once we get to the memory sequence then he'll be ready to accept the belly scratches. Do the whisperers look a little grayer in Remake? Or is it my imagination with the black and white dynamic being introduced in Rebirth? Also, I have absolutely to desire to ever parachute lol. Lately I've been writing up Midgar Raid theories. I'll share some soon when I've got them worked out. I'm trying to have every one of the characters have their own personal battle. The tricky part is using elements of Deepground without it contradicting the arcs of Dirge. I can see a Restrictor being involved, as anything I've seen in Dirge online or read about, indicates that they are not controlled by force, but seem more like sociopathic Soldiers who are loyal. With Sephiroth's barrier out of the way, the logical plan for Scarlet and Heidegger who would then have an opportunity to rule after Rufus's seeming death would be to use an army of Solider's and Deepground troops. But if that button of Scarlet's is only a means of communication to call the Restrictors who in turn approve use of DG troopers and Tsviets, then the Restrictors, who might not want to get involved, could decide to take their chances and wait out the situation. Especially if they thought the battle above would finish off some of their higher ups they might not have faith in. Therefore, Deepground could remain a secret, but Vincent and Yuffie might have some hints to another secret. Consider Vincent's suspicions during the intro to Dirge. Chapter 1 of Part 3 theory: In Crisis Core, Genesis told Sephiroth inaccurate information about Jenova Project-S; countless failed experiments to create the perfect monster. While this was wrong, what if he thought he was telling him the truth? We know Genesis went deep into Modeoheim's reactor and lab. A sight that was abandoned. What if Genesis discovered a failed second phase of the project, when Hojo got creative with some of Sephiroth's cells. In OG he recaptured Ifalna at the Icicle Inn. Did he extract some of her cells here and try to mix them with Sephiroth's cells, Makonoids, and other local wildlife? While the results would have been a failure, how would Cloud respond to remaining evidence of such a project were the party to stumble upon it on their way to Icicle Inn. Could this be another lie with the truth that Sephiroth will use as he erodes away Cloud's mind on the way to the crater? Chapter 2 of part 3 theory: If Sephiroth wants to distract Rufus and cause havoc between Shinra and Wutai, the Great Glacier might make a great location for a sky battle above. Quiet and muffled in the snow beneath the thick clouds, crazy above them. Raining machine parts? Rufus knows Glenn is part of Sephiroth now, and Hojo would be happy about it. But if Heidegger, Scarlet, and Palmer do not, how would they feel if Glenn revealed Rufus's connection to Avalanche and surviving Turks? Trust destroyed. And they are already nervous about him from that question he asked them in Rebirth. 'If you all knew my father was slipping, why didn't any of you stop him?"

I forgot about the sword purist comment lol and the cats. They just rub it in, but he asks for it! I got used to his slightly warmer attitude from Rebirth! Your cat faces cracked me up. The night on the town seems to cheer him up. We know he matches well. Sephiroth must have really messed with him last night... Been finally watching through all of Before Crisis in detail. Tifa's cat! And Shotgun (I think)! Then I watched the Crisis Core version of the events before going back to keep watching the full BC. The strange differences only make things eerier. I wonder if they'll do something with this. From Cloud's perspective we get a sword throw, but from the Turk's perspective we get a Sephiroth jump. The Kinase/Nomura/Nojima trio say the crux of VII is Nibelheim/the life stream sequence. Between these changes that once seemed like casual changes, but now feel almost diliberate, and the dreamy feeling multiple worlds element in the VIIR series. So psyched! Gotta finish BC!
