Great explanation about the patterns in nature and how that energy is accessible to everyone and crucial to the health of our planet Earth. Thanks 🙏🏾 for doing this work. You are an inspiration to us all.
How can I contact Kelly. I would like to have an earthbag home built.
@@PhonicsGarden Kelly Hart can be reached through his website Hartworks .com
@@PhonicsGarden He and I collaborate, and Earthen Hand can also help you with your project. Contact me via EarthenHand.com, thanks.
I don't know why they never to a full tour of the place finished with these earthbag homes. Even the national website only shows them half finished. It's hard to want to build one when you have no idea how it will look completed.
@@DK-zu6tt noted. I will try to film one for you next time.
Where can I obtain a THERIFY DEVICE which is talked about in this video?

This video always cracks me up because the audio was so bad that is sounds like I have 70's sounding lisp, which I don't actually have btw lol

The ecosystem of design, yes, always looks to nature. Great presentation.
What is the optimal crew size for these kinds of builds?
@@Kusagrass people you like working with! Lol. Maybe 4 to 10
Is this house for public tours? I would love to see how it aged after the last 13 years.
@@Kusagrass I'm sorry it is not. But I can tell you about how it is doing. Overall quite well. However, the owners have not maintained this as recommended so it does need a few deferred maintenance projects completed mostly reparing the adobe plaster.
wtf is he saying
How well do such structures hold up to seismic loads? I imagine their wind loads are quite impeccable, but some live in places where they must account for both wind and seismic.
Absolutely beautiful work, though! I love that old techniques are still being used, especially on remodels of old buildings. It looks natural for the remodeled buildings, as though it was always there from the beginning.
I believe you'll want to consult an engineer. It depends on the loads. Domes and vaults are inherently very strong, but reinforcement can be used for seismic zones. Where Ramon is located in Oaxaca there are some significant quakes, and I am sure he is designing for that condition but I don't know the methods he uses to achieve that. You can reach him through IBOMEX.COM
Very innovative approach!
LOVE !
Combination stressed skin and monocoque construction..? Very flexible method with easily grasped principles and requires some spatial imagination and engineering expertises.. Materials , lamination/cement reaction time , and waterproofing necessities.. Use of compression /tension axis combination is PARAMOINT.. HMMMM
I Love Ramon work, beautiful designs. I would be very happy in one of his buildings.
fantastic lecture, thank you so much for sharing
OH so gravity is a bit like when you get "Feedback" in a microphone... With audio feedback the sound goes out the speaker, back into the mic, then out the speaker louder, then back into the mic, and out (there is your "recursivity") until the sound amplifies and gets so loud that it screeches and hurts peoples ears, but with gravity, it's not making sound louder, it's making the (recursive) implosion toward center, continue to get stronger and causing things close to earth to fall to the ground.. and so (this has nothing to do with the microphone feedback analogy, but) also,, I'm guessing that force of gravity would be a little lower the further you get from the center of the Earth?? So until charge turns its attention toward an object.. perhaps the gravity of that object is less, and perhaps when you meditate on a spot in your body, you are using your mind to direct charge to that point and by holding your attention you attract more and more charge
Any updates ❤
New projects in JA coming soon. Also working in St. Lucia now.
Words cant describe how amazing dan and his colleagues are some of the most necessary bunch of people in history to me and I'm sure others feel the same way
I fully agree!
Interesting interview. I had never heard of his work. Definitely want to do a deeper dive into the Sunpulse 500.
Interesting project!
Really cool build! Gonna head to your website to read more about it.
This is the future! I can only image what society would be like if our buildings were built with such intention! Amazing! Keep up the good work!
Lots of information... wow! I was especially drawn to the idea of space harmonics and the connection to sacred geometry and how that influences architectural design.
This is really nice congratulations 🎉
Thank you
What a beautiful presentation! Thanks for sharing it! We are living in such a fast paced and fast turnaround world that the idea of beauty has lost its true meanings and replaced by many artificial infrastructures…It’s so important to remember and connect to what inspires us and moves our soul and heart through all forms of beauty. 💗
Really important aspects of design to keep discussing. Will rewatch several times I’m sure. Thank you for creating this.
Wow, this is so good! Interesting and informative. P. S. Scott, I really love the intro with all the quick - cut images of your prior Earthen Hand projects. Well done!
The entire discussion is amazing, especially how ancient building techniques can be applied today. Thought the part about how the shape of the building is so critical was fascinating. Thank you 🙏🏽
LOVE ✊🏿
Compassionate Love 🫀
Watching this interview was a great experience. I lived in Northern New Mexico for many years and now find myself in the Southeast US. This was a great reminder to go visit with indigenous people and see what they can share about building in this environment with the materials on hand. Also sharing the animation technique with a young creator. And now dreaming up a matrix… what’s on hand and what’s the environment, list of possible building techniques with historical and current examples, love it.
Love the merger of science and spirit. This is important work that needs to come to the forefront in our modern lives.
Why using gravel foundation if the earthberm acts as a giant moisture bridge?
It could. But I don't think it does. We use gravel to make a barrier against vertical water movement up into the bottom of the wall. The amount of water moving up into the wall through the berm is negligible because the berm is covered by plastic that slopes to drain 20 ft out from the wall and is covered by more soil.
Fire proof, probably bullet proof as well
Intention leads to a course of action that reflects the energy of each person involved, especially in the creation of natural building structures. Very interesting discussion with a lot of thought-provoking ideas. Thank you.
How inspiring! Thanks for the content, as I'm looking exactly for this type of network. I'm in complete alignment. I just started Flowsource LLC, and I'm making aircrete in Gainesville, FL. You'll be hearing from me soon. Both of you. Salute
Please be in touch, Jeremiah. Glad you found this inspiring!
brilliant wish you all the best!
we want individuals and small coops and people power - fair share - remember one of the 3 key pricipals of Permaculture is people care!
OUCH OUCH OUCH Don't invite the devil to the dance he we own your soul!!!
Second time I hear of BR hmm thank you Jim Gale for naming and shaming this horror. Thank you Scott and Jim for this talk - especially talking about gardening in prisons - yes removing sugar from prisoners diets, getting them gardening - reduces crime, attacks on guards yes proven but seems like thats not what is really wanted doesn't it? Jim I hope you can pursuade more men and women of your wealth to join you ! Mother Nature is crying out for more of you...
Paul was sent to kill Christians because Christians reduce the value of government. If you don't have crime why would people be willing to pay government to provide justice. Government wants plenty of crime so don't expect the gardening in prison to be a down hill project.
