Amp settings depends on the setup... The great part about the DSR1 is it's versatility for its price. If you referring to xover settings I usually set them in a safe range for the speakers/subs and use the dsr1 to be more precise... because you can change the slope and frequency for each pair of channels. I still use the amp x-over just in case there was ever a failure or you make an oops and bypass the x-over by accident in the processor...

The amppro units are great, but no added controls besides a bass knob. If your building a nice system and want to have equalization than run the dsr1. Is it harder to tune? Yes, but once it's dialed in, it's worth every penny...

I still feel the dsr1 is a great unit. There have been many updates for the firmware and the Bluetooth to help with some of the issues your referencing. Android has some connection issues still. I have spoke to idatalink and Rockford and hopefully a new update is in the works. 🤞There are a ton of great dsp's I could recommend, but none are in the dsr1 price range. If your willing to make the jump I'd recommend the Alpine, Audiocontrol, or Arc audio. But your gonna spend significantly more on any of these... Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Not sure about the hogtunes lids for sure, I personally haven't used them. Could try removing the rubber magnet cover, but it depends on how bad they are hitting you may need some modifications to get it right... Most likely for the 2020 model you will have to hardwire the dsr1 speaker level inputs after the factory amp/radio. I don't believe there is a t-harness yet. I normally locate the dsp as close to either the factory amp or a nice hidden spot in the trunk. You do want to have access to it in case you need to update or reset the unit. Etc... You will need to connect at least 2 channels from the factory amp to the dsr1, but I personally recommend running a 4ch input so you can still fade in the factory radio. NO... Unfortunately Sony has now discontinued this radio. Weblink is currently only available in the AX5500, AX7000, and AX8000 model radios. CD/DVD has been removed from the 2020/21 Sony model line as well as Maestro compatibility... BUT!!!! We should be gaining Maestro soon and hopefully some other wireless compatibilities in the very near future. Be on the lookout! Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

It's a little much, but if you set your crossovers and gain properly I doubt you would have any problems... To much BASS and clipping will distort and destroy any speaker regardless of power handling!

The sony radios are great... if your connecting to any aftermarket radio you will most likely want to just use the front and rear rca outputs to connect to the DSR1. The DSR1 only has two inputs... So you would still have full control from the Sony except for a Subwoofer out, in which I would recommend using the PLC2 bass knob so you can have sub control.... Thanks for watching!!

That's really surprising to hear... where are your crossovers set. You may be getting clipping or be running to much low bass through them. What amp are you running?

Usually run the head unit set to flat and crossovers off. You can set them, but I would recommend setting them up as a backup.... So for instance for you highs if they get set at 87 hz high pass in the dsp, you could run the head unit at 50 hz or 80 hz. As a backup in case you accidentally reset the dsp or lost settings.

Did you buy the V8 series kit? If you purchased the T-Spec V6 kit then it is CCA and not OFC.... Some of the newer OFC kits have a silver look to the wire and that is because it is tinned copper for moisture resistance... Hope this helps, thanks for watching..

Most of the obd support is from 2007 to current. I dont see Porsche on the maestro radio replacement lists at all. Idatalink has an amazing support staff that may have a solution for you. Thanks for watching!!!

DaLoop OnFire the dsr1 is not going to replace an amp. It is basically going in between your source (radio) and your amplifer. It can work with factory radio or aftermarket radio. Going to give you the ability to fine tune your system properly.

It will work in the Camry, but it doesn't look like they currently have a T-harness for the Camry. You can use it in universal mode which just means you have to hard-wire to the system. It will still give you all the same output and control options for your system. It's just a little more time consuming to install... Hope this helps! Please subscribe if you can! Thanks!
