Very impressive!
I used to see past Sonics everywhere in stores. After 13s they are nowhere to be found, they're always sold out online and are so expensive in marketplace sites. I really liked your video, thank you
So as a separate comment - this is a great toy - a great replica and one of the most feature packed sonics I think we have ever had. Not sure it will hold up to rough and tumble play but hey. I got mine ages ago from eBay via Comic-Con and thankfully had no problems but paid a pretty penny for it. I had no idea that the non-deluxe model was a little less featured and I would recommend anyone to pay more for the deluxe as those extra effects do add a lot to the toy.
Hello again - well I hald to come and comment in this one 🙂 Yes, a shout at the screen moment - so in order to change modes its FIFTEEN presses of the activation button BUT... on the fifteenth press you HOLD the button... AND (the bit you missed) you then slide out the side magnifying glass thingy - then you'll hear 3 beeps. To revert to normal its 15 presses and hold the final press. I see in your thumbnail you must have figured it out but theres the instructions for anyone that is interested.
Well spotted! Yes I could just imagine the shouting! I may do a short just to show it does actually do it other than in the thumbnail! Agree it isn’t the most robust but also agree it is fun to handle!
I’m really gutted that this has sold out on Hasbro Pulse UK.
@@SwainyAtRetroAsylum it went swiftly - have you tried In Demand Toys or Kapow Toys? Might be worth it… 🤞🏻
@@timetravellingtoycollector4149 I haven’t, I’ll take a look 👍
I picked up the slim version from my local hmv at the weekend. I have all the DVD releases, so I'm in no rush to replace them. I just pick up a Blu-ray set when I happen to spot one at a good price. Of the six sets they had in stock, season 17 was the cheapest at 32 quid.
Crap it fake as fuck looking
i bought them when they came out the other day! I love them!
@@Heartstoppah They’re super cool! And always great to have additional HS content! 🙏🏻
@@timetravellingtoycollector4149 Yes i agree!
UA-cam keeps losing comments! I commented on this just after you uploaded but its gone! Anyway precis..... didnt get this model but wanted it however MR wanted north of £50 for it like all the other XLs and it wasnt worth it for me, Im hoping that Fanhome release XLs - recently have seen a picture of their first models. being the StarGazer and Titan A from Picard seasons 2 and 3. Look great but all my other collections are XL so I hope Fanhome will clarify if there will be XLs coming or its just a mid-sized range from now on (they arent exactly small but a little smaller than XLs were). I need my Enterprises to be complete so XL Enterprise F and XL Enterprise G please!
I sympathise fully - I need a full set of Enterprises!!!!!
@@timetravellingtoycollector4149 I do worry though. Apparently the size of the 'regular' models will be up to 25 cm and thats more or less as big as the XLs. My longest XL is the enterprise E and thats 25cm (maybe discovery is slightly longer by quirk of its very long design). I dont want to feel pushed into preordering (though they are already saying that on the website) when they may well come out with XLs.... Either way im not really looking for Titan A livery... I want Enterprise G livery!
Streaming is unreliable. I will always prefer the higher visual fidelity, better sound quality and ability to watch what I want when I want when it comes to physical release. Got this item as well as the three other Marvel Disney+ shows on physical. Need She-Hulk, Loki Season 2, Hawkeye and Echo on 4k now! Keep ‘em coming!!!
@@RPO808 couldn’t agree more! Am also on the lookout for those ones!!
Missed out on these, gonna try and buy one because physical will always be better than digital
@@DWboy14 absolutely agree - be careful of bootleggers though!

@@andrewmontgomery5621 😂😂
Hello once again. So as a fellow Dr Who fan this is interesting. Personally I stopped buying physical media a few years back when digital was a thing and collected Dr Who on iTunes digital from season 5 through to season 13 but I rather disliked the Legend of the Sea Devils and that put me off buying further even though ive enjoyed whats followed. I think the readily available iPlayer catalogue has stopped my buying digital at least for now as there seems no point when literally everything is there on iPlayer. That said I think physical media will stand the test of time and also you have something that could well appreciate in value but the main point being that even though ive purchased iTunes digital copies I am well aware that somehow, somewhere, sometime that could be taken away from me even though I own it.... Back to season 14 (sorry I do refuse to call it season 1!) - it was a fine season but with several disappointments. Firstly it was way too short - im sorry but 8 episodes does not a season make... (for me) - AND on top of that Ncuti was completely absent for almost 2 of those stories and although we appreciate the behind-the-scenes issues I dont feel his first season is particularly a strong start. RTD assured us that 8 episode seasons were not the norm but it would appear that season 15 which is already in the can is only 8 again. One more negative is RTD being the master of hyperbole tends to build things up and the payoff is somewhat disappointing (ruby's mum....) But.... all that said I love Dr Who. I always have and always will. I cannot understand why some 'fans' thrown their toys out the pram every time theres a change in the show. The show is not written for them solely. The show has to continually evolve and attract new audiences otherwise it would have disappeared a long time ago. I always find something to like and will continue to do so regardless.
Whats that section on the top dome just to the right of the big gun? Looks like some of the resin is missing or gouged away? Careful with those small bronze Daleks - I feel some blu-tak coming on there 🙂
@@nigelstockley7011 Hiya! Yeah it does look bad in the photos, but weirdly it hardly registers “in the flesh” (Dalekanium?). The paint and surface are intact so it is most likely a minor imperfection in the mould itself. More worryingly one of the side panels has developed a wobble…. *#$%¥#!
@@timetravellingtoycollector4149 ah well good job its for display and not for play 🙂 it can wobble all it likes but hopefully will be sat on a shelf.
The cylindrical storage device is called a Camtono, it was used to store his beskar payment from the Client…I just got back into collecting again myself. Looking forward to more videos from you!

We needed Cara Dune!!!
I like both TVC & vintage Kenner, as well as customs and reproductions. Just found your channel, so gave you a sub.
The Vintage Collection is a bit overpriced right now!
Thanks so much for the sub! Much appreciated!!
Yeah I found that in a few cases when looking around but struck lucky with these two!
It’s pronounced (I ov Ag-ah-moe-toe)
Shockwave was fairly lighter on the actual pages of the comic but the standard release looks closer to that iconic cover. Still a great set though!
I have all three of the Eaglemoss Eagles and also the Rescue Eagle from Gerry Anderson, but it's very difficult to justify the purchase of any more due to the very high price. The VIP Eagle is available now, but I can't see myself paying that much for a 10 inch static model.
It's tricky to say. On one hand, I do like the made-to-order preorder model because I can (mostly) know I'll be able to get what I'd like. Too many times have there been no preorder option and the item sells out online and in-store and you're stuck with the after-market or you're just left without. Companies always seem to underestimate or overestimate production counts and fan demand. But what you said is absolutely true about the tangible experience being very important. I've skipped preorders because the product wasn't accurately represented, then upon release, I see some in person and they're much nicer, but at that point, it's too late. The product has long since gone. And I absolutely have had items I'd preordered get cancelled due to order allocations and that's just the worst feeling as a collector. If there were surplus made, it wouldn't have been an issue. With this made-to-order model, you get left in the lurch. Toy companies don't want to end up with a surplus of product and to maximize their profits, they choose the made-to-order model so they can always be sure they'll come out on top. The problem is, you're not growing your fan base. If the casual fan never sees your items on the shelves as they casually pass through the toy/collectible section at the store, they're never going to buy your product. It's impossible for a child or new collector to get excited about empty pegs, and that's all my local toy aisles seem to be.
So so true! I get the need for balance as part of the marketing, to build hype for new products etc but the magic word is balance. I understand Hasbro are introducing figures available all year round but that in itself shows that the others aren’t - so it’s almost a “when it’s gone, it’s gone” model leaving many hoping for a product refresh (I’m clinging to hope for a SS86 Cliffjumper lol).
Firstly nice to see the description "new paradigm" as people often just refer to them as 'paradigm' Daleks which in English anyway makes no sense 🙂 I too dont see the need for the hate they got. I think they look better and more imposing when they are bigger, and frankly if you are going to re-design them you need to keep them instantly recognisable as Daleks and thats exactly what they did here. OK, its a bit hokey to call one 'an eternal' Dalek - what does that even mean? My main criticism is they have rather large bums..... certainly in proportion to their heads. I think if the heads were a bit bigger they would look a bit more in proportion. I hate it when people whine and get their own way... especially fandom and its a shame that these didnt replace the gold classic design in the show going forward. The Jodie-Daleks were another good attempt for a redesign and I really liked them - just a shame again they were specifically suggested to be one-offs and not the norm. I suspect that Ncuti will get his time to face the Daleks and when he does then they will be a redesign although how drastic remains to be seen - on things for sure is that people will whine about it 🙂
So so true! I fully appreciate that change can be uncomfortable but I bet if the show had held its nerve they could have given us some really powerful Dalek action, even if they toned down the colours a little. But I guess that’s all sitting in an aborted timeline somewhere! They do have curious bums - I think the design should have meant this area was their “alt” weapons/appendages storage but another interesting feature lost to time! Yeah I did like the Jodie design and you’re quite right, such a shame the daleks didn’t opt to assimilate the better design elements of the drones but hey ho. Hope it won’t be too long till we see the latest iteration and please let them not just be bronze!! lol
@@timetravellingtoycollector4149 interesting to see when they appeared again in asylum that they had opted to repaint them in a far better looking metallic paint rather than the “tellytubby” primary garish colours they first used. As you say it’s a shame they didn’t keep their nerve.
Mine is still in his box 25 years later 😃
Mine is back in now lol
Hehe cool that’s the beauty of that package they had done the same with Oola (fan club exclusive) back in 96-97 I think
How interesting. Ive thought the same but it's been exponentially worse lately since the demise of Eaglemoss. Firstly there are always things that are by design limited editions which are worth the effort to get. These things are very specific. For example Tomy is on the verge of releasing a spectacular illuminated die-cast Enterprise model which will be expensive but a limited run/manufactured to order. I totally understand there are hoops to jump through. Certain sideshow collectable statues are also hard to get and limited...... BUT.... Lately, let's use Master Replicas as a shining example. Look... I really appreciate what they did to make Eaglemoss models available although I was NOT a fan of the 'DROP' mentality - that stoked the fires of FOMO and forced people to be there at 9pm at risk of missing out. Why they couldn't have just put all the stock on the website and let everyone get on with it I'll never understand. And how often did they say 'these are the last ones' only to restock them a few weeks later. Now the dust has settled and the various franchises have fragmented to different companies (a real shame) - Master replicas have a decent chunk of the licenses and promise to release things that both carry on the spirit of the old collections (TARDIS consoles) or are brand new things in their own right. I must say I REALLY disapprove of this 'collectors club' nonsense. It's expensive and designed 100% around FOMO. Frankly it's just not worth it. £90 for the privilege of pre-ordering a day or two before the rest of the great unwashed? Great example - the Stargate Stargates collection. Now, I have pre-ordered it as a non-member and only had to wait a day or two after the members and didnt miss out at all and never would have done! They are either making them to sell or they arent. I appreciate a pre-order gives them a decent idea for production numbers but still - we shouldn't be made to feel this is essential 'hurry up says the marketing' - why?? Just do what Eaglemoss did and make them, sell them, and if you run out make some more. I really want to continue my XL Star Trek ships which Fanhome will be releasing.- but again I really hope this pre-order malarkey wont be the way forward. I dont want to feel like im being forced into panic buying when theres no need, Whatever happened to the days of waiting... watching a review after its released, and then deciding if you want it or not.
@@nigelstockley7011 absolutely the question I’m posing, and many of the sentiments I’m feeling - it’s very much a FOMO culture being cultivated to move units (which I get from a business perspective blah blah blah) but where’s the fun in the hunt? Why the pressure to spend weeks - often months - occasionally longer! - in advance for something you may not even be that bothered about once you get it in hand! 🤯
@@timetravellingtoycollector4149 Totally with you. I mean... back to Stargate on Master Replicas.... preorder as it's a 'limited edition' - but WHY is that the case? I dont recall any of the Eaglemoss models being such. I did succumb as I quite fancy having all 3/4 Stargates in my collection and I suppose im going to get sucked into the pro-order thing (unless the first one is a bit rubbish) but I also hate the waiting. I ordered a few weeks ago and it's not due out until September. I know it's going to be the same with the TARDIS consoles and im already frustrated at the prospect. For my personal collection I need Matt Smiths one and Ncuti Gatwas - then I have all I want. I hate the idea that they announce Ncuti's - tell us that its only for 'members' first (which is a nonsense) and then allow the rest of us that didnt pay £90 for the privilege of pre-ordering 24 hours earlier the same opportunity yet we will all probably have to wait months for it to be made and delivered. It's very clear they will make as many as they can sell!! why wouldnt they so this members only pre-order 24 hours earlier is just silly. At the end of the day, certainly from the Eaglemoss era anyway, these arent some holy grail made from unicorn tears and vibranium..... they are plastic toys with die cast bits that can and should be made and stocked in shops and sold on their own merits.
