    Thank you very much for sharing your experience, I study ux ui from the scratch and it has taken me so long already as I have full time job from 9 to 6 and I have no one to ask for directions, your advices helped me a lot

      I’m glad it was helpful! I also had a full-time job when I started learning and yeah, it takes a lot of time and sacrifice. But, you can do it! Take it at your pace, quality over quantity and you’ll get there!

    Awesome vid! Very helpful especially the part about extracting relatable experience. (Which is what I mostly have as a designer) Also love the tip that all experience is experience regardless of whether or not you got paid for it. I agree! I’ll definitely use these tips to tweak my resume a bit. Thank you! :)

      @@alwayscallingmeblazeI’d love to see you break down what makes a good (or bad) case study for a portfolio if you haven’t talked about that yet. I feel like a lot of junior designers like myself struggle with putting together a good case study and format it so it’s easy to read through and still has enough info without being too wordy :)

    i procrastinated away my annual subscription to coursera last year. I wish I had seen these videos then because the direction you provide in these videos is so helpful. It just feels overwhelming where to start and it helps having your guide, thanks for sharing. Going to try learn the software and then try the courses you mentioned.

      I know exactly how you feel! Even after I started looking into UX, it took me the better part of a year to figure how to best learn. You can also do the course on Coursera for free if you choose audit the course. The only difference is they don’t give you certificate at the end which isn’t really worth much of anything.

    In the study... I think they're just used to their phones, tablets, etc. The gestures is a slight learning curve. The muscle memory will take over. I find myself mistakenly pinching at my real TV. Ugh. I also think the weight just takes a little getting used to.

    • @alwayscallingmeblaze
      @alwayscallingmeblaze 4 місяці тому

      That’s what’s so remarkable about how Apple designed those gestures: after the learning curve, it’s very intuitive. I am very certain Apple performed thorough user testing when coming up with those gestures. I am planning a follow video with the testers to see what they think now.

    Hey! I'm thinking of UX as a career path for me. I don't really have any background in something like this as I went to school for art in games. Was wondering if any recommendations have changed since you made this video? Also if you ever looked into the diploma course at the UX design institute which sorta fits in a weird category between bootcamp and college. Or if there are other fields one should dabble in to get a leg up in getting hired? Thanks for your time and thanks for sharing your experiences!
