The Journeyman Adventure
Приєднався 9 кві 2020
In life you never know what's coming next, all you can do is follow the Journey and see where it takes you.
with decades of adventuring under my belt already I've come late to filming. I enjoy making short films I'm not pigeon holing my self to a particular subject so this channel will be a bit random.

👍👍
Boa Noite e obrigado pela compra de vocês no final de Janeiro com a vida de novo no Brasil que não tem nada de novo em relação so
Getting your camera back is always a workout 😅
Yes that's right, a lot of time goes into making a few minutes of video especially with one camera but as you know it's all part of the fun 😊
Thx for the vids.still enjoying those.Have you sold your boat??
Yes it's sold and I'm taking a different tack although I'm not sure what that will be. As they say "a work in progress"
Thanks for sharing. Always enjoyable to spend some time alone in the bush. I like those flame-camouflaged stoves and cookware, like the pots you used in your other video.
Thanks, I prefer to use old equipment.
No one around - how wonderful! :) :)
It can be a challenge to find quite spots but worth the effort of looking.
😎👍
I was raised in Eldorado. Back then the water hole was the best swimming hole in the whole district. The Redfin fishing was unreal with quite a few really good sized Reddy's being caught. Only ever saw 1 Trout ever caught out of there by a mate of mine. The Dredge was floating high and dry back then and we used it as a jumping platform as there was so many different heights. One fella actually jumped from the very top point and when he came up he was half covered in mud. It also had the biggest blackest Leeches, you knew when you had one of those bad boys on you.
The nana state of things have tamed the adventure of growing up. I could see it as a great playground
Good one, thank you ! :)
Боже, какая красота! Спасибо!
Please pray for protection from cult bullies..
😍😍😍
Everyone who reads this, we don't know each other and probably never will but I wish you all the best in life and all the luck in the world
Strongly recommend you check your water pump impeller. Exhaust had a loud hollow sound at start up and was blowing steam under way. Beautiful day to be alive and on the water. Equally beautiful and haunting music. Thank you.
Yes, I did mention to the owner the flow was to little and the raw water lines are only half inch. Thanks for your imput
Great place Tassie. I've only spent 8 days there years ago, and I've never thought of sailing there until now
Is that a Van de Stat design by any chance ?
No, it's a Hartley 28 built in New Zealand and sailed to OZ some years ago
To the person reading this message.. don't worry.. the pain you're feeling is temporary, close your eyes and remember tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start! Take deep breathes, your gonna be alright! I promise💫 Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, peace, and abundance! Namaste!!❤

@0:17 sec, -you are putting crap images in the stream why why why , to fool us or put Some spell on us!-
Thankyou for your enquiry. If you had viewed my earlier videos you might note that the image is the Logo I've used for many years. In the editing of this storm event I felt that it added a bit of artisticness rather than just using an intro. I like to dabble and try difrant ideas in the videos i make both in the filming and editing in the hope that if or when I have a story to tell I'll have devalopped some skills that might add to the telling. Though I don't beg for comments or likes and am not asking for encouragement or advice, I'll take onboard your observation........ Or it could be a spell
@@journeymanadventure thx for your clarifications , I will strikethrough my comment!
Thank you for providing this healing sound. For those reading this, I just want to let you know that everything is going to be okay. If you are going through a difficult time right now, it is only temporary and you can remind yourself that there are many good and comfortable days ahead. I wish you all the best, love and strength. Listen to this magical natural sound. Good night!
Thanks bro.
Awesome
Beautiful thunderstorms❤❤❤
Hi who designed and built her?
It's a Hugh Angelman design built in Hong Kong, I don't know the date. It's a mayflower and it's what Formosa's are biased off
@@journeymanadventure Thanks for the reply, yes have found it online seems a shame only 8 were built.
why did the remains of Cthulhu just appear and disappear mid video
The last part of the video are stills where the first half is video with the non action parts edited out. It was a three hour storm in total that might be a bit much for some 🌩️
What kind of varnish and oil did you use
Deks olje number one which is an oil based product. I reapply every six to twelve months depending on the weathering conditions. It's a marine based product. On inside only projects I tend to use Danish oil or a furniture wax. The specks on the deks SES it's got antifungal and UV properties and in high ware places where varnish gets damaged I prefer the oil.
@@journeymanadventure thank you! I’m restoring an old ship wheel once I’m done cleaning it up it’s going to need a good conditioner.
I have a 4.236 but my HE is on the Stbd side does that make yours a lowline? Anyways, great video beautiful boat.
Gday cobber YT never let me know you left a comment. The Perkins was installed by the last owner and it came out of a motor boat so I've no idea with regards to lowline.
Waw how did u do which app
The storm lasted for two hours and I removed all the footage between the flashing. No fancy effects just lots of editing. 🌩️
such a lovely ship!!! wow just wow.
Glad you liked it
You are quite the story teller..
Thank you 🏴☠️
At around A$40 for a pair of solid tyres vs A$6 for two pool noodles, this idea is great value. Thanks for sharing the tip.
Or just replace it with a rigid tire. 🛞
Hey there, we wondered if what type of yacht Three. Bells is. And did she get scraped. Keep safe fella. 😘 Debbie and Jim😘🙏
Gday, Three Bells is a Formosa built in Hong Kong and is a Hugh Angelman Mayflower Mahogany planked on mahogany frames that was kept in prime condition until the last few years. As far as I'm aware she is still being prepped for charter. When I left the intention was to get it working to recover costs asap and being in the tropics I wasn't confident that she would receive the attention to the standard needed so I stepped away. Fingers crossed she lives to sail again 🤞🏴☠️ Martin
@@journeymanadventure Hey 👋 thanks Martin. It sounds like you did the right thing buddy. Yes let’s hope she lives on. We are know looking for one to make are home. To sail the world. 🌍. Good fare winds dude . 💙💙 Debbie and Jim.😘🙏
That place looks amazing, thanks for showing us around.😊
Thank you
I helped a guy once steam planks for a boat he was repairing... Really neat experience of old time sailboat construction.. made me want to make my own.. I was a mailman then and on my route there was someone who did just that in his front yard I'd see everyday..
Every job on a timber boat is an artistic challenge and I think that's what sucks us in cobber
We're still marvelling at your boat. It's beautiful. What was the process for getting your prop as clean as you did please? We used a brass wire brush on a drill, but ours still looks dull.
Thanks, after the wire wheel on a grinder I used some buffing compound purely. Normally I'd use Prop speed but that wasn't an option for that slipping
@@journeymanadventure Super, thank you!
Wow, such a beautiful vessel. She was much like ours on the bottom, full of crustaceans and life.
Yes, they won't build them like that again.
👍
Fun fun fun! 😊
That s a nice video!
Very enjoyable to watch 👍
Thanks 🏴☠️
Really cool. Your boat looks large. We have just started to put our boat rebuild onto UA-cam too, although it's much smaller at 25ft.
Thank you and good enjoy your rebuild
why running a motor on a historical sail?
Pilgrim is styled on a craft similar to that used in the 1500s but was never intended as an exact historically accurate replica. As such modern safety requirements made it necessary to include safety features that amongst these included a motor, a toilet, communications and navigational equipment, life jackets, liferaft and electric navigational lighting and the like. Thanks for your interest and if you search Historic boat pilgrim you should find a website and Facebook page where you can find out more about the journey so far where I'm sure the owner and captain would be happy to give you more information about the boat and it's adventures
@journeymanadventure thank you for the response. I totally get that. But ot would be great to see the struggles, when able, of our ancestors, when the wind was slow or dead, to just be at its mercy, or bring out the sweeps.
Indeed
The music describes the situation well, lol !! 5 degrees here this morning 🐧
an awesome job so far.

Yay! You are there. Love that pic of you at the end! :)
The Viking ship - what a wonderful vessel !! Music choice, superb as always :)
