The DW420 pump draws between 16 and 20 amps. It will work with the OEM wiring. We highly recommend using the DeatschWerks fuel pump hardwire kit to wire the pump directly to your battery. Great question Josh! Fuel enters on the spring side. The O-ring is on the open side exiting towards the fuel rails. I hope this helps, and feel free to reach out if you need further clarification.

The clamp that is used on the convoluted tubing is an oetiker-style. Unlike conventional worm gear clamps, oetiker clamps provide equal tension around the hose, however, without the proper tools they are one time use and will need to be cut off and replaced. You can use snip pliers, side cutters, or a dremel to cut the band, then install a new clamp with proper oetiker pliers, or as seen in the video a quick pinch from snip pliers. The internal color wiring of the fuel pump hanger does not need to follow a specific order. However, it is crucial that the wiring of the DeatschWerks DW810 fuel pump's connector matches that of the DeatschWerks brushless controller that is wired onto the top hat. Both the fuel pump wiring and the controller wiring use the same color wires. If your surge tank, hanger, or module is missing one wire internally (some manufacturers use a 3-wire configuration), you can install an eyelet on the pump wiring harness ground wire (black) and attach it to the fuel pump hanger. @@deatschwerks yeah I quicky realized that I was severely overthinking it. 😂 Also why is the inlet of the pump slightly larger than most pumps. It doesn't fit into the base of most hangers. The hanger needed to be modified.

Great question! We do not recommend running the pump at 100% all the time due to the risk of damaging the pump and controller. Our controller does not require a PWM signal because it comes with a two-speed controller that can operate off an RPM switch, Hobbs switch, or any switch or output that can ground the white wire.
