Lesson learned…don’t let wife use the mower 😅

I noticed my toro was only cutting even on one side ,,other side looked as though blade was dull so i ordered new mulching blades,,when i went to install them i noticed existing blades were both like new,,month i ago i hit something with deck it caused front link held by cotter pin to come loose and of course the deck went sideways,,it was after that episode i noticed one side cutting uneven..thanks for tip.i had a idea problem with the way the deck was hanging...have had toro since 2014 and nver had one issue except for front tires always going flat,,i replaced them with runflat/solid tires ..only issue it seems like mower rides rougher now

I ve been searching products and diy ideas for this type of wheels. this is well constructed, and design is good compared to Amazon products. The design is just what I was looking for (ability to change angles & height adjustment). I started collecting parts to build one for my bristle brush attachment referring a couple of youtubers. The downfall of their ideas is that they use wood piece for the shaft. I would like to rotate shaft or remove earsier, because I flip the brush depending on my needs, and tilt up straight to clear snow in narrow area. This product does look the one for me. Looking at the comments here, I was surprised there are more negative reviews. I think my concern of this product to use on bristle brush may be the height of the pole of the product. Lowest height look tall. I need to leverage brush with minimum amount of force. if the wheels are in the middle point or closer to the handle, I would definitely need to put more force to leverage this heavy brush. Does anyone have any idea how I can build easy removal system ? 😅

I'm a senior and it was a burden to use. It added on unwanted weight to my string trimmer. The wheels want to go straight only so I'd have to pick it up constantly in order to maneuver it. I did more picking up than whacking the weeds and tall grass where the lawn mower won't go. Too late to return it, maybe I'll make use of the wheels for a diy barrel.

Thanks for the video! I actually wound up putting a jack stand under the front end so wheels were off the ground, lift the deck to highest level and used a pry bar from up top… took less then 60 seconds.. minimal pressure and it popped right back in

Great effort but the wheels are wrongly positioned and the top collar it’s not swivelling ,change these and you should have a better sale 👍👨‍🏭👨‍🏭

Thank you for this video! I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what the problem is with my zero turn cutting uneven and the deck falling off the hook on the left side. I watched your video and looked up in the right spot and sure enough the bar was not no longer seated in the attach block. It wasn’t easy getting that mother back in there though!

I just checked mine. Same problem. Took 5 minutes to fix. Take off the bracket. Put the Lift bar in the bracket. You can then line up the bolt with the hole. Once lined up. Loosely place the bolt into the nut, couple small turns. then you can pull the bard and bracket into place so the fixed hole mount pops into place. from there tighten up the bolt.

Must have hit something really hard to cause that, some mowers are horribly abused by their owner's.

I highly recommend to increase wheel size to 14" and using 3/8" T nuts to replace the original ones.

Many THANKS for sharing your experience. I tried to find a video to deal with this the last two seasons unsuccessfully. But today here it was! Before, I was able to pop it back in with a crowbar, but since I put the support bar into the retainer holes at the end of last cutting season, that IS NOT POSSIBLE any longer. Now I know the way to overcome the problem, so again, many thanks to YOU. Great video-graphy and content.

Papa Dawg, THANKYOU for posting this!!!! Your video was my first search result and was EXACTLY my problem. Bless you for sharing. For those that watched this video......Yes you MUST, remove the cutting deck from the mower and completely move away so you can work under the mower. You ABSOLUTELY must raise the mower off the ground to get underneath for this fix. Do NOT take ANYTHING off the mower or deck. It is a ONE Person job to use a short "pry bar" or such to bend and guide this rod back into the hole on the connector on the mower. Then move mower deck back underneath the machine. Push deck to center of mower then slide to the rear to attach the belt to the pulley under the engine. Then re-attach as the reverse of how you removed the cutting deck assembly. MEASURE to Make sure the deck is level with the ground. If it is, you are done. If it is Not, Search for videos about leveling the cutting deck. Papa Dawg..THANKYOU Again for posting!!!!!!!!!!

My ss5000 had the same exact problem on the same side. You are a genius! It took two minutes to make the diagnosis.

Easiest way to do it just to put a ratchet strap at the bottom of the deck height selected and the other end on the end of the lift bar. Line up the lift bar attach block and ratchet it in until it’s far enough out and then let the tension go on the ratchet and you’re done. Takes about one minute total.

I must be the biggest pussy on planet earth bc I cannot, for the life of me get the lift bar back into the block.

I just want to thank you for the video to level out the mowing deck. I start adjusting the nut like the manual says to, but there was still 1 1/2 inches difference. After watch a few videos on the subject, I came across your video. The exact same problem. I used a ratcheting tie down to get it back in the hole. Thanks!!!

Many, many thanks! I have a Timecutter SW 5000. It had this exact issue. I used a tow strap to pull the bar back while my son guided it into place. I had to finally tap it with a hammer to get it right and clunked back into the hole. (satisfying sound) Spent months trying to figure this out. Thanks again!
