I can relate. People don’t understand how difficult it is to live with CPTSD. It’s like a neurological paralysis mixed with an electrocution of some kind that shatters frazzles your central nervous system and causes you to feel shaky and jittery and it’s just so frustrating. I would like to share also that there is a risk of using somatic experiencing, especially if you are neurodivergent. …there is a big difference between innate sensitivity of nervous system (neurodivergence as a temperament trait) and trauma response, but for uninformed professional, they look the same! So there is big risk, they will adress innate ND traits by these techniques instead of your trauma response and they can even increase the trauma. ⚠️never work with a somatic experiencing practitioner who is not ND informed and says something abour your trauma that does not make sense to you and leaves you just more confused and stressed out, wondering what is wrong with you! If instead of listening to your boundaries and request they tell you to find something nice in the room to look at and refuse to explain their procedure pretending their explanation can hurt you (or they behave other way, that seems they doubt you are sane and have more than 40 IQ) it is a massive red flag!
