A Vison of bye gone Days Beautifully captured who said we wasn't happy then Been watching Jack Hargrieves Out of Town these shows are Important for future generations well done Alan
Hi Mick, many thanks for your comment. I loved watching, Out Of Town, with Jack Hargreaves, his commentary was so relaxing. Such wonderful memories.
Thank-you memories of days out as a child 😄
Hi Susan, many thanks for your comment, this was the first time that I had revisited Grimes Graves since my school visit back in the 60's, oh that seems a while ago.
Nice video. This is one of the very best shows around, so varied with something for everyone. Unfortunately it’s been announced that it’s been cancelled this year for personal reasons. Let’s hope it will return in future. There are so many local shows being cancelled, many are simply drowning under the ridiculous regulations which they now have to adhere to. I attended one local show last year, held on a small village hall in a small village, where the organisers were required to confirm their policy in the event of a terrorist attack!
Thank you, sad to hear that the show is being cancelled this year, lets hope that it will return. And your comment about the local show, that's just crazy. Thanks Alan

Nice bikes..❤ it's a shame we use the word dis-abled.. it seems to diminish people too much.. less-abled perhaps? Cool video, lovely day out by the look of it.. a show similar was set up here in Sligo, North West Ireland.. it was held for two years and seemed brilliant, yet it wasn't put on again since😢 hey ho, thanks for your video❤
Thank you for your comment, yes I agree with you, less-abled would be far better. We are all human after all, and should all be treated with respect. I'm pleased to say that this fantastic vintage farming event is still running every year.
@@muddy-underfoot. that's brilliant..😉😊
Sorry you are experiencing this, hopefully it will subside soon, Time for ditch digging/new drains maybe? Lobby the council .
Thank you, this will be down to our landlord and council to sort out I'm afraid. But we aren't so bad as so many of you are, I feel sorry for you all. Alan.
Where are you?
Hello Jean, we are at Heath Road, Kenninghall, which leads down to Crown Mill. Pleased to say that the water has now gone down.

Thankyou Albert
What guide book are you using? Thank you, lovely videos!
Hello my friend, many thanks for watching my video's. I used two books, which both gave me the route and details about the area, such as it's tales and history, both subject's that I love to include in my walks. The first book is, Recreational Path Guide; The Dales Way', by Anthony Burton, published by Aurum Press. The second book is Dales Way, by Paul Hannon published by Hillside Publications. a lovely pocket size book full of line drawings. Coming soon the first part of my walk, Along the Dales Highway, walking through the high country of the Yorkshire Dales.
Thanks Jay, that's very kind of you, unfortunately I was feeling a bit under the weather when I filmed this on Christmas eve. But I think I'm on the mend now. All the best to you and your family also.
Good luck with the new projects mate and seasons greetings to you and yours all the best. Jay
Superb footage of the stag mate nice one 👍🏻
Hi, many thanks for your comment, sorry for the poor quality of the video, it was filmed on a large camcorder which takes SVHS tapes, and hiding in the gorse bushes it became very heavy. I'm pleased and thankful now for smaller digital cameras.
Superb channel mate keep up the good work !!
Hi, my friend, thankyou very much. Now looking at your channel and it looks fantastic and interesting. Well Done.
Thanks for the memories.
Thank you so much
Thank you, I enjoyed your adventure. The music was lovely, and the birdsong, and your commentary was very interesting. You certainly had some glorious weather for it.
Thankyou Heidi, that's very kind of you. I love to walk around the first week in July, which for most of the time the weather is fantastic.
This was such a lovely watch Alan! i’m currently doing my college art project on kenninghall, this was a really nice video for inspiration :)
Thank you Al, I wish you all the best for your art project.
Hi guys, just an update on this walk. Since I walked this route way back in 2005, it has been extended to a fantastic 51 miles. Now you can walk along the coast path to Lynmouth with wonderful views. Maybe I will do it again soon and re-film it with my new digital camera. Happy walking, Alan.
Alan, thanks for his lovely and informative vlog. When do you complete this walk?
Hi Lorraine, thankyou for your lovely comment. This walk was completed back in 2005. But don't worry about that. The walk and the landscape dosen't change, ( apart from the seasons). I walked it in May, I think. I quite often do my walks now in July, because it's not normally to hot, sometimes drier and not too many people about so accomodation is easier to find. Have Fun. Alan
I have watched a few of your walks now and will keep watching more you show it exactly how it is and i think its awesome
Thanks Paul, that's very kind of you. I know that I haven't posted any new walks lately, but I will have some new video's soon.
Thankyou so much for sharing your walk i really enjoyed it
Hi Paul, thankyou. I hope that you have watched part two as well.
thanks for uploading - really enjoyed :)
Thanks Andrea, that's really kind of you.
Thank you, really enjoyed part 2 especially. My husband and I will be walking the Dales Way end of April. Your vlog has been very helpful!
Thankyou so much, Lorraine, I'm pleased that you enjoyed it. I've managed to walk it twice now. The second time I wasn't so lucky with the weather, but it's such a lovely walk. Enjoy.
Thanks for the video, much appreciated! If you don't mind me asking, what month did you do the Dales Way? You never can tell with the weather!
Hi Dan, I walked the Dales Way in the first week of July, I find that the weather is quite good at this time of the year, plus there is the advantage of not to many people so accomodation is a lot cheaper and easier to find.
@@muddy-underfoot. Thanks for the reply! Hoping to do this next summer with my wife and another couple. Trouble is we live in Canada.
@@dancleasby151 Hi Dan, I hope that you will get a chance to come over and do this wonderful walk, you will love it.
Hi, great video, may I ask what you filmed this on? :))
Hi Libby, I am pleased that you liked the video. I filmed it on a Canon video camera which used DV tapes, unfortunately I don't have the camera now so I can't remember the model. I filmed the walk without a tripod because it was lightweight, and although this walk was done in 2005 I think that technical advances now with selfi sticks and DSLR'S would make a better quality production. xx
