The Dewdney Trail // Rossland, BC
Переглядів 2843 роки тому
"The Dewdney trail was originally built nearly 150 years ago, and although the current route utilizes only small sections of the original prospector route, the historic character of the trail is difficult to escape. Today, the KCTS maintains and manages the Dewdney into a super fast and flowy downhill, that will entertain and thrill riders of most abilities. The corridor is wide and open, with ...

Testing the Insta360 One X2 - Downhill MTB
Переглядів 13 тис.3 роки тому
To test out my new Insta360 One X2 camera, I had a chest mount for the POV and a helmet mounted selfie stick for the backwards view. I did two consecutive laps. The POV was my warm up lap. This camera adds a whole other dimension. Lots to learn! Trail: Rock is the New Berm www.trailforks.com/trails/rock-is-the-new-berm/

I'm next door in Winnipeg. I knew of trails in Saskatchewan, though I never knew where they were. Figured they were most likely out by North Battleford. I recently came back from mtn biking on Vancouver Island, Cumberland, etc. Quite the workout for this prairie boy.
Holy .... Shit No music No commentary Just action
Great rip Love that trail, can’t wait to drop in again Thanks for posting
2 minutes of ads to watch this. Not worth it.
Great video! You guys did well with skinny tires. A fatbike would eliminate the falls! Come out to Manitoba this winter and do some fatbiking!
Hey thanks for this vid. I actually pulled it up on my phone when I was up there to see how hard the run would be and looked like no suprises and it was super fun. I ended up passing on Gnarwall as my legs were done after the climb.
It would be nice to see a new run after all the work they’ve put into the trail
Is it a x2 on your chest mount too?
I just rode this trail today and the videos definitely dont convey how steep some of those sections are!
That’s pretty cool setup. Is that digs?
Just looks wild!
Do these brakes feature 2 bleed screws on the lever like sram? Just wondering if I could flip flop them anytime I want if I'm switching between motor or English style braking
Siiiiick
It’s rare when a mtb video captures the feelings of a trail with third person perspectives. Seems to be quite the challenge. But this was perfect even with what seemed to be self filming?
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it but no it was not self filmed. I was running around with a gimbal, trying it out for the first time.
Got chills watching this one bro Brady is awesome
Thanks man! Yeah he can shred! Just wait til I convince him to do a no hander off that upper drop.
Rode there a few weeks ago. One of the best public/free bike parks I've ridden. Heck of a climb to the top though.
I was there! Lol
Always a pleasure to watch your vids 👍
very grainy. need to slow your frame rate down.
That big drop to the right has still got me questioning your sanity haha glad you didn’t hit it in the snow
Haha I was looking at it! but I don't think it's built strong enough to throw a boulder at it to break the ice. I think we are going to have to rebuild it because whoever rebuilt it last didn't build it to last. I'll hit it again soon to see how we can make it better.
Reasons I hate spring riding. Ice sheets 😅
Haha yeah, not ideal. Usually it's ready by now but this spring's melt has been slow.
I would love to ride those ice sheets right now
Nice trail no snow pretty jealous
May i ask what rotor size and what pads u are using? got the hayes brakes, too with 220 rotor in front, 200 in back, and i had problems modulating the brake on steep and loose terrain and im thinking to go down in size like 200/180
200mm rotors and the pads that came with the brakes. Are you saying not enough modulation ? Mine are fairly snappy mid pull but from zero to that it modulates great. I took a couple spills since this and both front brake heavy. But also early season, not used to them and still icy.
Nice ride man. I can’t wait for the season to start. I just got my dh back with a new rear coil and front fork rebuild. Keep up with nice vids!
Thanks! I threw the new brakes and shock on and was itching to get out. Actually surprised by the conditions. Nice, that'll feel fresh! It's almost time (depending where you are). What coil did you go with ? I was strongly debating one but got a Float X2 instead for a decent price.
Hey BC, nice video, is it allowed to include it in our future compilation? Credited as always!
Hi can i see the mount
you have to climb to the top
i have done part of that ride everyone should
ofc you are from BC, makes a lot of sense now ;)
Cool video boys, are you guys wearing lights on your helmet too?
Yeah I had just an Energizer Head Lamp that I use for work haha but buddy had a really good one.
@@bcmtbvids oh ok! I went for my first night ride in a cold -4🥶 uploading a video shortly. ❤️🇨🇦🍻
where are those trails?
No Bulls
Can’t wait 7 more sleeps
Put your game face on!
lmfao, this was so funny, I have never seen a gown adult run from a bush chicken...Thanks this made my day! lol x 100
Dude...turn in your man car and never ride in a BC forest alone again...and the irony of having a friday the 13th Jason hockey mask decal on the top tube and being afraid of a 3 pound bird. There are far more dangerous animals in those woods and the amount of panic you displayed for a bird.
Great work!!!!! Fire Edit!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Uh
rippin. looks fun!
Would it be ok to ride this on a hardtail?
is this supposed to be serious?
We sure do love our mountains ⛰️ 👍
This looks like a great area to learn to downhill. We’re going to take my 8 year old there this week. From the videos it looks like standing up and putting some space between your tush and the seat would help absorb the bumps.
Right on, I hope they enjoyed it. Standing up is hard for some but you definitely want to encourage it!
That look very fun I am going to be going there tomorrow to do this
Right on, how was it?!
@@bcmtbvids I was going to go and it was raining that day so I didn’t go I will be going in a few days
Stabi is great!👌🏻how did you mount the Cam? Chest, Helmet etc.? The different perspectives are from one shot/the same run? Cool video, thanks!👍🏻
Kelowna has some really nice trails🔥
Same happened to me. I was walking on a country side forest rarely used & came across this buddy and well what happened next was brutal. I got attacked and chased as so did my car lol
мощно!
why does every idiot nowadays think that he should turn his handlebars at every little jump, is that supposed to look cool or what is the reason🤦🏼♂️
Did you film it on GoPro?
Yeah this one was filmed on a Hero 4 with a Karma Grip gimbal. My videos after this one were filmed with an Insta 360 one X2.
beauty shred boys!
