1960's Nashville Optimist Little League Baseball Park Davidson Street. East Nashville
Переглядів 49День тому
The LL park's opening day was April 30, 1962. The Downtown Optimist Men's Club provided funding for the ballpark. One of the main forces behind the creation of the park was Buster Boguski, who was the Little League Commissioner at the time and a former second baseman for the Nashville Vols. "The park is something and you will have to go a long way to see any better Little League setup," Mr. Bog...

They traveled old highway 41 in TN. Wonder why they didn't use I24? Anyway, it was a lovely trip. Really enjoyed when they were going across Lookout Mtn. Wish they had continued through Jasper, though. They warped from east of Jasper right into Nashville :D

5:34 On Clarksville Pike, just north of Bordeaux. An abandoned Old Hickory Credit Union branch is now located less than 100 yards south of this former building. I remember the build from my childhood. Before it closed down it had been turned into a night club.

Part of me misses the old Nashville, but I'd rather Nashville be what it is today than what cities like Birmingham and Memphis have become. There was a time when both of those cities sat higher in the pecking order than Nashville, and now they're trying to find a way to breathe some life back into themselves.

Not 1965, at 1:24 a blue 1967 Chevrolet is in the background also shortly after a 1968 Chevrolet passes. In that time period new car models came out in the fall of each year, so filming took place no sooner than the fall of '67. 👍🤠

Kinda odd 😀
