Welcome to my channel and if you have subscribed, thank you, its much appreciated. My channel is primarily about my wild camping adventures but sometimes I may post random videos, however that doesn't happen very often. I have been asked to do loads of stuff, particularly reviews but the simple truth is, I don't have time. However, if you see something kit wise in my videos that you want to know more about please comment and I promise I will get back to you.
I don't post loads and loads of videos, just the odd one when I get up to something. I hope you continue to follow me either way!

Day Trip to Blue Bay Marine Park, Mauritius.
We did an excursion to Blue Bay whilst on holiday in Mauritius. This place was beautiful, the marine life was outstanding, it was like the Maldives on steroids..

So sorry to see this 😢
@@denisetansley3986 We lost him in August, he was only 5 yrs old. A lovely young boy who I still think about everyday. 💙
@QuakerJones268 I don't think people realise how heartbreaking it is to lose beloved pet x
@ Definitely, it’s knocked me for six to be honest. It was unexpected so it hit me like a truck. I’m getting there though.
Sucker for punishment mate ⚽️
Easy 3-0 win buddy 😂. Great afternoon
Have u been locked upfor some time?
@@vendigrows Yeah ages.
@ haha!
Fly fishing?
@@RTsnipes yeah, fly fishing. Very relaxing.
Cool!
@@TjScharck Cheers.
Thank you for making such an informative video Mark. I'm debating between this and another hotel in Mauritius, and this one looks absolutely stunning. Your video shows that the reality does live up to the photos online, and has helped me to see and realise even more detail. It's great to see what I can expect from the excursions too. I can't over the staff mopping up outside, it looks immaculate!
@@emilywills4852 Hi Emily. Thank you and I’m glad the video was some use to you. We absolutely loved it. We have been all over world in some amazing hotels but this one is very much up there with the best of them. Their attention to detail is second to none, the lack of plastics is a breath of fresh air. We loved it so much, we’ve booked to go back next year as there is still more we want to see and do. The east side is less touristy and that’s how we like it. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask 👍🏼. Thanks for watching.
Wow it's very beautiful
@@zafarahmadkoossa2477 it’s a very beautiful place, the colours are amazing. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Nice, well done
@@fishchipsandmushypeas Cheers Buddy.

@@JBLX92 Thanks
I watched that last night in nirth scotland was so bright
@@nikkiscotland8860 Very unusual to see it this bright down here in Chesterfield. It was a pleasant surprise, luckily I had my camera already set up for a night sky timelapse. 👍🏼
Fantastic watch
Nice smooth camera work. A relaxing watch.
The steady camera work is down to the cameras stabilisation as opposed to my rookie camera skills ..😊 Thank for watching, much appreciated.
The Trangia never fails to produce something special, even though coconut isnt to my taste! That your own bacon?
Yeah, I cure and smoke my own. Trangia is a perfect stove for me. 👍🏼

Nice little video Mark, good shots of the boy, gunna miss seeing him ❤
Sorry to hear about your dog. I know it's devastating loosing a beloved pet. Time in the woods is the perfect place to reflect. It looks lovely there. I'm taking my son and daughter out camping. They love it.
@@Irvine_Harper1919 thanks, it is a devastating loss, he was still very young. I started with my kids when they were young. They still go out regularly now they’re grown up Thanks.
Looked like a nice chilled camp 😊 I need to start doing more cooking but I’m too lazy 🤣
Cooking is all part of the fun for me. It’s surprising what can be rustled up on a Trangia. I’m just planning my supper for Sunday nights camp 😊
Really sorry to hear about Ralph - people without dogs will never understand the positive impact they have on your life. Don't wait too long before you get another!
Thanks mate. The painful thing is that it was totally unexpected, he was fine one minute and gone the next. With my other dogs, they were old and every day I thought it may be their last but Ralph was only 5 yrs old. Its been a torrid couple of weeks I don't mind admitting.
That looked like a great ride - and what a good idea, taking the stove and having a homemade cuppa :-)
It’s been a long time since I went on a ride so that is the perfect trail to shake out the cobwebs. My Trangia goes everywhere with me. I like a cup of tea lol.
Hey mark. Sorry for the loss of your dog. Just wanted to mention that your videos convinced me to purchase an anaris tent and I’m super happy with it. Hope you’re doing well all the way from Florida.
Hi Keanu, The loss of Ralph has hit me really hard, it still feels very raw but its only been two weeks so its expected I suppose. The Anaris is a great tent, I love it. I have owned many tents in my time including Hillebergs but this one ticks all my boxes. I'm really glad you're enjoying yours.
Why do you keep saying the quality isn't there? Thinner doesn't mean poorer quality. It means we have the technology to make things lighter without sacrificing waterproofness. I've used both tents. They both work the same. The Anaris is MUCH warmer inside as it's thicket material with less venting. A lot of condensation in the Anaris
Because the quality isn’t there. That’s why I say it. I get no condensation with the Anaris. I own both tents shown in the video and in my opinion they are both good tents. But the Anaris is far superior. You can feel free to disagree but it’s how I see it after reviewing them both. Maybe you could do a video review.
Sorry for your loss, friend! My thoughts are with you. I'm also so glad you have these video's to look back on. 🤍 Jess x
Thanks Jess. We are completely devastated, he was a big part of our life. He was so young (5) and I always believed we had many years with him ahead. My first wild camp on Saturday without him will be very hard. Thanks for getting in touch. Mark x
@QuakerJones268 I definitely understand it's going to be hard. I hope you're able to try and enjoy your wild camping trip this weekend. The loss dog is never easy. The void they leave in our hearts are pawprint to the happy memories they shared with us.. We have 3 dogs ourselves, so we are sending you all love. You all will be in my thoughts! 🤍 Jess x
Sadly Ralph my dog passed away yesterday and has left a massive hole in my life. Thank goodness I have these videos of him showing him having the best time. 💔
Good to see you back out of retirement Mark ❤
@@PaulMessner I need to get out every now and again. Hope you’re well buddy.

Nice mate 🤙🏻
@@Peteablokeoutdoors Cheers, Pete. I’ve not done a wild camping video for ages. I feel there’s just too many folk doing them now so when I go out I concentrate on enjoying myself rather than videoing. This is just a short compilation of a couple of short vids and photo that I took for myself on some new freebie software I got
Utterly useless. 99% shot of the water and beach😂😂😂😂
@@discouts4879 You still took the time to watch it though and for that I’m eternally grateful. You’re one of the good guys.
I'm thinking of getting this tent, my concern is that I have never used mesh only inners, can I ask how cold the tent is in a wind, does the wind cut strait through, so any windchill factor is brought into the tent. I mainly camp in the peak district or the lakes, I have a Unna but wanted a lighter tent for summer use, but as we all know it still gets windy in spring summer on the fells and tors .. any thoughts around winds and temperature when in the inner would be great would be great
I’ve used it in windy conditions and never had any issues. It’s not a full mesh inner, only the doors. If the wind comes under the fly I just drop the poles down and peg the fly right to the floor. I only really use it as a three season tent so pegging it right down is not something I do a lot. It’s a cracking tent even when I use it in winter it’s still fine.
thats great news, it seems to catch the wind a lot, is it flappy and noisy in wind
@@FindingTheGoldenThread-nf8yv it can be a bit flappy when it’s windy but no more than my Nalo 2. 👍🏼
That's beautiful 💙
Thanks!
Beautiful area 👍🏻
It certainly is. We love it here.
Imagine this situation in any other sport. Some non-pro teams in other sports can only fill a few seats but in football a non-league team winning the non-league title for promotion leads to scenes like this
Just shy of 10,000 with an average home attendance of 7800 this season.
Comparing chalk and cheese... Buy the cheap one and use it but don't compare it to the anaris.... You'll be very disappointed... Hilleberg too expensive
Hilleberg are expensive but you get what you pay for. Buy cheap and you get what you pay for.
Absolutely disgusting🤮 Get a real job
You get a real life xx
£600 with no guylines on the main walls absolutely no way would I waste my money. Massive design fault.
The reason it doesn’t have those guylines is because it doesn’t need them because of it’s better design. You’ve obviously tried using one right?
@MarkJonesWildCamping-S41 Nonsense, that tent will struggle in strong winds and will 100% rub off the inner tent. I don't need to own the tent to see what will "clearly" happen.
For a 4 season tent, what made you choose the nallo 2 over the nammatj 2 ?
It’s only ever going to be used for me and my dog so the Nallo 2 suited me. Plus it’s lighter and a smaller pack size. For the camping I do a Black label tent is overkill.
Hi mark, your wild camping looked great. we really enjoyed watching. Have the best week Chelsea and mike
Thanks very much, really appreciate it. Look after yourselves. 👍🏼
Loved the video. Have you still got the Anaris?
I have indeed. It’s my favourite tent. 👍🏼
Excellent video :) 👍 greetings from Västerås in the south of Sweden. I used to live in up in the north, in Kiruna, for three years. Its the nearest town to where you are and the only realistic airport that i suppose you arrived via. I have been hiking in Abisko and Björkliden during the summer and its a way different experience during the summer. I recommend that too! I never tried those places during the winter, but you made me interested to do so :)
Hi, thank you so much for your comment and taking the time to watch the video. Yes, we flew into Kiruna and drove about 10km out to a cabin we had booked. It’s such a beautiful area. I can imagine it’s very different in the summer months. I will definitely go back one day. Thanks again, be happy and healthy. Best regards, Mark. 👍🏼
Nice one Mark, I need to get a kit together and give it a go!!
You definitely should, mate. It’s a great way to spend a night.
Ralph looks adorable with his mop and fringe! I can't look at that dog without smiling. 🙂
He loved it. He gets really excited as soon as I start packing the rucksack.
Nice one Mark. I like the look of that stove but I'm resisting the urge to purchase one. I've already got more stoves than I need. Good to see the Anaris in action.
It’s a tidy stove and I don’t regret buying it. I thought it would be difficult to control the heat but it wasn’t that difficult.
A beautiful time away! Great stuff! Bruce and Otis
I enjoy these quiet stress free camps. I highly recommend it. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
That looks idyllic. Nice a calming. I don’t bother with dehydrated meals for mains. Just not enough in them. About as satisfying as a Pot Noodle which I take in Mylar bags for a snack. Love the tent
I would normally take and cook fresh food but it was a last minute decision to go and I had the dehydrated one in my box. The aim was to have some chilled out time which I got. The tent is my favourite, so versatile. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼
W❤W! That’s Awesome! Cheers for more exciting and incredible adventures!🥂❤️✨
The wonderful sounds of camping in woods…. So nice. ATB Mark🍺
I love a woodland camp. It’s where I go for a bit of me time. Really relaxing. Thanks for watching, Dave. 👍🏼
Nice and chilled 👌 I don’t get on with those Firepot meals either.
That meal was awful, never again. I’m sticking with fresh food or Summit to Eat.
A nice set up, love the stove, looks quality , how do you rate it? What brand of cereal, is it? cheers.
I’ve always leaned towards Trangia but I thought I’d give the Solo stove a go. This one is the Titan. Very impressed with it if I’m honest, Paul. I will definitely use it again. The cereal is from The Fell Store. It’s a new one they are going to produce themselves, I was just trying it out for them. When it’s on the shelves I’ll def buy it. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼
Great vid mark ive recently got the Nallo 2 ...would love to wake up there on its first venture out ...which lake is it exactly ?? Thanks in advance 👍
The Nallo 2 is an amazing tent, I used it on my trip to the Arctic in the winter (see vid) its as solid as you like with lots of room. This lake is Ffynnon Llugwy Reservoir. A beautiful spot.
@MarkJonesWildCamping-S41 Ahh thank you for the heads up i know some peeps keep locations to them selfs sometimes, which also isnt a bad thing ether so thank you looks cracking indeed :-)) Yes i watched your artic vid what an absolute epic experience you had and crossed off your list just fantastic 👌 Yep def looking forward to getting the Nallo out, ive a Soulo and just wanted a bit more room and seems perfect and as bombproof as my Soulo. Atb 👍
You’re comparing a 130$ tent to a 600$ one?
Yes I am. Did you watch the video? If you have you will understand why I did the comparison 👍🏼
there's a lot of your face appearing all the time in the video instead of filming nature and the landscape if you want to admire yourself buy a mirror or change the title of the video to filming myself and a little bit of nature
It’s a very handsome face, it’s worth sharing with the world
I’d like to see some of your videos - I’m sure they’re absolutely phenomenal! Better than David Attenborough himself.
@@chrisdodd9121 That’s stretching it a bit, mate.
