Depending on the miles I will restore it if it has over 150,000 MI I wouldn't even bother even though it could take over 200,000 MI value-wise not worth it

If you part it out I would buy rear fender liners. I am in Cincinnati and will come pick them up.

I did a quick search, it looks like a used SL500 is going for 8 to 15K depending on condition and miles. Even if you do the labor, replacement parts are expensive. You would wind up loosing money on trying to restore it.

Take whatever the junk yard will give you for that thing lol. I hope you dint pay any more then $500 bucks, that thing is GONE.

the stock (ABC) suspension is 'coilover' with an active element. You need to state 'passive coilovers'. An ABC valve block rebuild is easy and the PTFE O-rings in kits nowadays are far better than the originals so the issue of fluid bypassing at the solenoids doesn't happen again anyway. Removing ABC compromises either the ride or handling significantly depending on how hard/low you set up the passive coilovers. Also, if you don't install anti-roll bars at the same time you're going to have big problems if you find yourself driving on the limit, intentionally or otherwise. I've had a CL with ABC for 12+ years now with 130k miles - no issues with the ABC system or parts needing replacement, not even accumulators. I've just changed the fluid and filters every 2 years. For me it's been a no-brainer to keep the ABC and maintain the car as it left the factory and the designers intended.

Bro I can say in my case brake dust was an issue on the back so i put ceramic pads and did get less dust but stopping power was reduced.

I picked up a C240 that stopped running after it got rained out (now has a tarp under the cover and drained a new battery) that they claim nothing is mechanically wrong with. I think I probably need a rewire. It was also almost starting prior to me replacing all the missing fuses
