Martine was beautiful in that scene when Tiff tells Beppe she doesn’t love him. The one consolation of Martine’s exit was that they made her look absolutely stunning.

This scene really shows how Grant has changed through the years. It started off with Phil being the calmer, more reasonable, level headed brother and Grant being the damaged, violent psychopath with an uncontrollable temper that would be fine with you one minute but in the next would beat you to within an inch of your life in a fit of rage if you said the wrong thing. But now their roles have completely reversed with Grant being the calmer, more level headed brother and Phil being little more than a bitter, twisted old man. A cold, cruel, sadistic bully.

Back when eastenders was worth watching, these days it’s full of trash and unrealistic storylines.

Grant showed a lot of remorse for what he did and actually was the one to drag Eddie out of being a recluse. Sadly, Eddie never forgave Grant for this and until Eddie was murdered, Grant was permanently barred from the Vic. What followed though was why there were so many suspects to Eddie’s murder. He sacked Sharon, began proceedings to change the name of The Vic only relenting on the day he got stabbed, began grassing on The Mitchell’s and Sharon and the whole Square hated him in the end. Was never fully explained why Nick Cotton killed him.

That was a pretty good counter left hook by Phil.

They still use this in 2024 time to update it abit

This was actually the first bit of violence on TV that I ever saw as a kid that felt real at the time and actually concerned me. Grant was just out of control here, felt so sorry for Eddie.
