My name is Robert, and this channel is my new hobby. Join me as I explore. I have a slight interest in history, so many of the videos will gravitate in that direction, but I will include a wide variety of things.
Beautiful Hike to the Summit of Diamond Head
Almost to the end of the Hawaii Trip. We had heard that an early morning hike up Diamond Head is beautiful. It did not disappoint.

Heather Lin at Pinehaven (On the Road to the LPGA)
Переглядів 1792 місяці тому
In July of 2023, I attended my first Epson Tour event. One of the players I followed that day was Heather Lin. I enjoyed watching her play, and became a fan. A little over a week ago, Heather entered the final event of the 2024 season (The Epson Tour Championship) needing to win the tournament in order to secure the 15th and final LPGA card. In her first round, she scored a hole-in-one on the 1...

Exploring the Backroads of Vermont and New York
President Arthur became rebuilding the US Navy (by then in shambles 20 years after the Civil War), converting ships from wood to steel. I believe he requested funding from Congress for the construction of 12 steel vessels, but only received enough for four.
Ok, that helps to clarify his role in rebuilding the Navy. Thank you for sharing that information.
What a great exploration this was . Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for watching!
Love freedom of speech...its hangong in my office at work
It’s a great painting.
We have a Northumberland too ❤
I’m still waiting for a video about what a Northumberland breakfast entails 🙂
@ well, we have just discussed going to the Grainger market potentially next weekend 🥰
Love a crunchy path walk
Maybe this winter will have some crunchy snow opportunities ❄️
Sorry. Robert Lincoln tried to commit his own mother because she was depressed after all the tragedies she endured. Hopefully his children turned out better than him.
Thank you for watching, and commenting. 🙂
The skyline! Wow
It’s pretty 🤩
Beautiful walk, thank you 🌺
Thank you 🙏 🙂
Just watched a movie of Florence Jerkins and now hoping to see her family crypt.
Was this a movie featuring Meryl Streep? Would you recommend it? What a fascinating life. I will probably also try to see her family crypt next time I’m there. Thank you for mentioning that 🙏
I have that
Thank you for the history ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 very well maintained
You’re so welcome 🙂. Thanks for watching.
I went on the same tour...but via bus and one thing that got me amazed.....if you live in HI and ever come upon a movie set filming 5-0, Magnum, or NCIS.....you WILL notice the MASS AMOUNT of film trucks stationed over 3 blocks in town. Imagine (since you taped it with your phone) going over narrow roads, very bumpy roads, areas that seem very hazardous.....Imagine EYE Productions and other Movie production vehicles going the same route to do filming.....Im like stoked and dayum!!!!
It would be fascinating to see the whole process of a tv show or movie being made like that. I’m sure they use many vehicles and equipment. The only time I can think of where I saw a tv show being filmed up close was in Massachusetts, and they pretty much took over a whole area of that town.
The grounds are beautiful
Who owns the house now?
A group of local residents formed a non-profit group called “Friends of Hildene” and purchased the property in 1978.
I forgot to say that Admiral Yamamoto’s quote is from the movie “Tora! Tora! Tora!”. I’m not sure he said those words in reality.
A beautiful home.
Thank you for watching and commenting. There is so much to see there which is both educational and emotional.
Pearl Harbor happened before my time. I didn’t expect to get so emotion seeing this. Seeing that list of names hit hard. Thanks for putting this out there. Travel isn’t easy for me and I’m glad I could see it through your video.
Beautiful 🥰❤️
What exquisite grounds & just wow
Yes 🙂 it’s stunning
Interesting
Enjoyed this! Thank you.
Thank you for watching 🙂
I have been gone from Pittsfield for 50 years just as the other person who commented on the podcast. It certainly isn’t the same safe place the city was in the mid 70s. Thursday nights on north street use to be hopping. I lived off of onota street and right after our dinner a bunch of us kids would walk to north street and hang out until the stores closed at 9 pm. If you tried walking there in the evening you probably wouldn’t make it home. Drugs and guns run the streets now. I love the podcast but it hurts my heart
Thank you for watching and commenting. I’ve heard similar comments from others. I also have some fond memories of Pittsfield. Even though some things have changed, in some ways it was nice to walk around and reminisce. I wish the city nothing but the best moving forward.
This is really big house.
Thank you for watching 🙂

Another politician who got rich in one generation by “serving his country”. More likely serving himself just like all the rest.

For a what sake this Lincoln son desperately needed such palace?
Apparently he found it very peaceful in the Vermont countryside. I think it was a place where he could conduct business while still being slightly removed with his family.
We toured the house on a very quiet day and the Grand Steinway Piano had just been tuned. The Docent asked if anyone played the piano. My niece was allowed to go behind the ropes and play the piano. I think she was in high school at the time, I’m sure it’s the only Steinway she will play!
What a nice experience and memory. I love that they allowed her to do that 🙂
I'm related to Abraham Lincoln and son by Owens side
That’s fascinating. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙂
louder please thank you
I’m sorry if the audio was not loud/clear enough.
Wow, I didn't know he was connected to the Pullman Co.
Visiting Hildene has made me curious to learn more about Robert and Mary, and the entire family.
Went here last month, amazing place
It really is a beautiful and fascinating place
It's. A beautiful. Pplace. 😊
How was Abraham Lincolns son able to afford this magnificent home? Did he grift from the civil war?
watch and listen to the video
