hello and thanks for this great video, I have a question, could you have used the PSG01551 for the Phono and CD RCA if needed? My CD port is intermittently faulty, could be solder issue. I would be confident from watching here that I could follow your video to replace it. Well Done. I have this amp nearly 30 years now.

Where did you get that Service manual. It looks nice and clean. Everything I have downloaded is dark and foggy.

Saw one at a local thrift store today, dirty and with user marks for €15,00 Hesitated because of its state and lack of the right tools (long screw drivers) for restoring it.What type of screw driver did you need? Maybe if it's still there I'll pick it up.

Este equipo tiene el STK 465 gran integrado, Tengo un Sanyo DCA303 y lo hago trabajar con bocinas de 350 watt, de 15 pulg vaya mejor que una potencia y con sonido nítido, será que puedo hacerlo trabajar este amplificador con esas bocinas, claro le he puesto 4 ventiladores de computadoras para que enfrié el integrado, de esta forma lo he echo trabajar mas de 12 horas y como si nada. inclusive alguna vez le conectamos guitarras eléctricas, órgano, micrófonos de una banda atravez de un mezclador y nunca se daño. Sanyo hizo un gran trabajo con ese equipo, estoy buscando uno del mismo donde me encuentro pero no encuentro.

Thank you so much i have 2 reel to reel deck from 80's Akai rx625 and rx646 both have same problem they are slow and stops during rewind and fast forwarding and they both have same dual motor run capacitors and i don't know which capacitors to use as replacement I can’t use this deck for years any help deeply appreciated thank you in advance.

On mine, it looks like NAD raised the zeners and resistors high off the pc board. No overheating was observed.

I own two of these amplifiers, a C316BEE and a C356BEE. I had the same heating problem with the C356BEE, I replaced both the zener diodes with 5W zeners, and the resistors (3.3 ohm/2W and the 51 ohm/5W). Regarding the cooling solution I simply bought the "AC Infinity AIRCOM S7" and placed it on top of the unit; it is a more elegant solution to this problem.

Which desoldering (make and model) are you using please ?

Nice job Alexis. Finaly somebody has done an electrical adjustment on a Sony ES deck. I’ve done mine (TC-K750ES). A few points I want to highlight: Is your multimeter capable of reading the right AC voltages at 19kHz? (MPX-Filter check). As far as I know the UNI-T meter goes up to 10kHz when measure AC voltage. A multimeter drops down the reading at higher frequencies. Maybe an oscilloscope would help if you have one. For the Erase Current Adjustment you need to adjust RV553 at 110mV at 160kHz. I know for sure my Fluke MM can’t handle that frequency when measure AC voltage. Therefore I use an oscilloscope (no software scope). Probably you can’t read a voltage on your meter because of the higher frequency 😉 Do you use the resistors as mentioned in the service manual or do you connect your cassette deck directly to a function generator and/or meters? My regards.

Εχω κ εγω 1 NAD 3020e, πριν και μετα απο recapp σε ηλεκτρονικο, συνεχίζει να εχει στο startup κ για 1 ,2 δευτερολεπτα 1V DC στην εξοδο του αριστερου καναλιου κ μετα πεφτει σε λογικα επιπεδα (10 20 mV ). Επειδή ο ηλεκτρονικός ¨σήκωσε" τα χέρια είπα να κανω εδω μια ερωτηση μπας και παρω καποια ιδεά που να ψαξω μετά.. ευχαριστω

placed an offer for a 304 on e-bay, after reading a very positive review. i already have a more modern c 326BEE N.A.D, no phono stage, so needed phono inputs for records, as i was looking for a detailed sound, and the N.A.D's have such a great reputation for great sound overall, despite the grey (used to be brown) corporate, business type looks! LOL!! thanks for this demo.

This deck requires to desolder and clean both reverse switches - otherwise, it would not work reliably.

Still have mine. i bought it in 1994 from a secondhand store. The led screen didnt work correctly, from water damage. the signal was bleeding over from the next bank of leds. which is why i got it cheap. but it was an easy 5 min fix. the top solder joints were corroded together . i cleaned them up and made sure not cross connections and its still working after all these years.

My auto return won't function. If I take the plater off, I notice the long triangular shaped arm will trigger it to auto return, if I pull it gently. Do you know which piece to adjust inside to trigger auto return? What's it called l, or can you describe it/process to adjust it on the PL-50?

I have a tascam 122 mkii. One of my levels is lower than the other on the VU meter. How would i know if its a low level signal or if the VU meter needs to be trimmed? Would i adjust the record level or playback level pot on the motherboard ? Its a bit confusing, I do have a good test tone calibration cassette if that helps?
