@b03tz well, thank you sir :) I forgot to add something in the case someone wants to go this path: the RF frequency depends on the supply voltage => the variable solenoid needs a bit of adjusting since the new voltage is 5V. This solution is not sufficient: no speed selector; no motorized focus. One would think to try use 2 toy cars to control x,y axis and backfocus but this would require different frequencies and these toys have a fixed 27mhz crystal and would overlap.
