Honegger - Rugby
Arthur Honegger's mouvement symphonique no. 2: Rugby, performed by Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra
This piece is really just astonishing in every way. It's filled to the brim with interesting rythms, awesome orchestration, and fun tunes, and Lenny really gets the NY Phil to play the hell out of it.

Absolutely remarkable! Prokofiev was truly incredible
reminds me of berg??????????
hey, where can I find the sheet music in pdf?
1st second sounds like scirabinalready
I had never heard these before. Skip the first. The rest is incredibly beautiful.
hindemith is my favorited
Oh my god, the genius of this first opus aside, my jaw slammed the floor when I heard that scale at 19:25. Tozer was something else, and it sure as hell wasn't human. I wish I could have seen him in concert. Thanks for the upload.
Tozer was very much human.
@@DynastieArtistique Ever heard of the word hyperbole before?
@ Yes, and I’m responding to your hyperbole because that one passage wasn’t played particularly special at all, and neither is Tozer a particularly great pianist overall
@DynastieArtistique Not a great pianist? Seriously? Many consider him to be the best Medtner interpreter. Going by your videos, not sure you can speak much to this. Certainly we all have favorite pianists but how isn’t he great? That part is immaculate
@@DynastieArtistique I can't tell if you ragebaiting or some type of shit like that, but the passage that Tozer played is VERY special, so that part was played very well by him. What else can I say? You can't even play your own prelude correctly lmao
A tam-tam!
18:48 sounds like something Vaughan Williams would do
I really like prokofiev.. But this is ass really.. Just a bunch of jumbled notes that try to pose as some actual rhythm. It hurts my ears so much, i just want to tear my hair out. Cant seem to understand how people like this! A little after the intro when the melody gets quieter its a little better, but really, different notes and its a really good piece.
try again
Vaatii "lehmänhermot" jotta jaksaa kuunnella tämän . Minä taisin kuunnella tän teoksen noin kahen päivän aikana. Huikeimpia kotimaisia musateoksia. Kiitos tästä kansallisaarteesta.
Brilliant.....BRAVO from Acapulco!
One of Prokofiev,s best chamber pieces. Joyful end kinky😊
This reveals how macho and confident CPE Bach's composure was on the clavier and in his own compositions. No wonder Haydn adored CPE Bach's keyboard works so much. He was "hard core" and this is too masculine amd aggressive to play in some genteel fancy ladies salon. First time I've heard this and I'm hearing an influence from his Father's 3-Part Invention #5.
I haven't heard this for years and all I remember are the brief melodic passages. I'm sure the failing is mine...
Typical Russian melancholy. Loving it.
Brilliant.Dramatic and passionate.
0:59 Time left before insanity
I enjoyed it.
Partituras de esa obra donde se consiguen
Similar to his Classic Symphony.

I thank you little young Kiwi and I could never forget you and I am looking veeeery forward to hug you and get to know you... Le p'tit Daniel, both themes of the kopfsatz do contrast evidently, as the first is more arpeggio-centered the second one is scale-based...
For all its "anything my uncle Richard Strauss can do..." you've got to love it
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
My goodness... seriously beautiful.
1. Интермеццо 0:06 2. Рондо 04:33 3. Этюд 10:19 4. Скерцино 12:10 5. Анданте 13:50 6. Скерцо 25:32
Not my favorite Webern piece, but the execution is very fine.
Is this a joke of some kind - or does he really play it like that? I haven't gone through the whole video (I couldn't bear to hear fully even just one iteration of it), but just sampled it randomly - and it seems to feature just the first movement repeated again and again - why? And why not the other movements?
Brams in Russia.
This sounds like a typing exercise. With a little discernment the tone colors and motifs would be interesting. Plus she typed it too fast.
Tango - 15:20
Amazing!👏👏👏
Usually with lesser known composers such as Roslavets, you find lesser interpreters butchering their music (or just simply not giving it enough shine, musicality, and imagination). Quite the opposite here! Love it.
Complimenti!
Don't mind, just my studying notesss 0:03
What a phenomenal musician Thimoty is!!!!
❤❤
❤lovely❤
great performance!
The ending is so exciting, just look at the trombone parts especially around 40:20 with the string accompaniment..
