Like it. I'll try it tomorrow. May as well whilst I've got it dropped as been playing (learning) 4th Of July today (Soundgarden... Not the date). I'll he doing it on a Lea Paul too. I put some Heavy Bottom Skinny Top Ernie Balls. Less flapping.
Cheers man, it’s great fun. I used 10 gauge (regular slinky in Ernie ball terms). QOTSA recorded the album in C Standard with 10 gauge’s, that’s what gives it that rubbery hyper-dynamic sound; because the strings are floppy. I think at the time I tuned to Drop C, purely because I couldn’t be bothered for C standard 😂 but I recommend giving it a go, it’s a great tune. My aim wasn’t accuracy with the cover, more to catch the vibe.

Believe it was an Electro Harmonix Glove OD at the time. Through a Marshall DSL20hr.

What les Paul is that
2019 Les Paul Classic. One of the last circuit board models. They were looked down on at the time as they don’t have the traditional CTS pots + wiring, they have a circuit board instead. That being said, I’ve A/B’d it with Murphy Lab Les Pauls and it sounds better. One of the best playing and sounding guitars I’ve ever had. Purely luck of the draw though.

Cheers man, yes I tried to match the tuning of the beginning chord of the song. I recommend tuning by ear rather than to the frequency, you’ll get closer. Ears are more reliable!
