But the ISABI tax on a $400,000 purchase is being raised from $8,000 to $12,000. That's quite significant, so let's hope that the govt follows through on lowering property taxes.

Cabo’s magic has been destroyed by rampant development. What was once a close-knit community with respect for locals is now overrun by traffic, water shortages, and soulless expansion. There’s no title insurance. Title in Mexico is iffy a lot of the time. Always? No. Nothing in life is 100%. Everything is subject to a judicial system that is historically corrupt wheather it’s civil, crimminal or regulatory law. If you’re rich you get to keep the property if you make the payoff. This is my experience after living in Mexico for 60 years.😮😮😮

I’m always watching properties in Cabo San Lucas because we are retiring and building there and I’m interested in what is going on and love watching different styles of construction and design. You immediately know if someone knows what they are talking about, they know what to point in a property and give interesting details. I truly dislike real estate agents that focus in themselves, that use girls as props and females that show too much, it is just not serious, if you are going to invest your dollars you want to know about the PROPERTY. I’m bilingual and if English is not your first language then you practice your presentation until is perfect. Hoping this is not too harsh, but it’s my opinion.
