I was told I can't hang my head out the window. Also I wasn't told that I can go slowly lol, I haven't taken the test yet but in training I was like going pretty fast then stop rapidly. These videos help me see that I can slow roll to the box.
@simply_the_dev7588 as long as your butt doesn't leave the seat you should be ok to have your head out the window. that comes straight from AAMVA the ones who make the tests that the states follow. Glad the videos helped!
@@DecodingDOT-tr1dk Thanks. Today I did all 4 maneuvers in training and only the last part of the backward offset caused me problems. It's when I should do the final all the way to the left to straighten out the truck to line it up inside the box. Everything else I got done easily. By the way I can look outside just as I am about to stop so that helped.

If you notice the chain on the back is tight. Look at the side of the blade. The slack is the excess chain and doesn't need to be tight
I see loads that pickups are pulling improperly secured quit often. There’s just too many people that think all they need to tow heavy is a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. They don’t put any thought into securing the load. The same goes for safety chains.
what is the cut off levels for dot drug testing ? i’m 6ft and 150 lbs. i’ve been clean off pot for 40 days now should i pass my test?
Hey @kaganvenable, sorry it took SOOOOO long to get back to you. If you operate a CDL vehicle (anything with a GVWR 26,001 LBS or more) then you need to be in a drug testing consortium!
If it's California, it's illegal to turn on your hazards when climbing a hill
That's crazy I have NEVER heard that before.
I had to do this test way back when CDLs were introduced. I was one week from Grandfathering, and no test was needed.
Pre 1986! way cool.
How can I apply?
Do you have to have break lights and turn signals on an implement of husbandry when towing it?
That one all depends on the state you pulling it in! According to Iowa Code IAC Ch 450, p.1 761-450.6(321), if a vehicle with brake lights is towing an implement of husbandry, the towed unit must also have brake lights. But when you dig deeper the NASD says that if the towed unit extends over 4 feet (1.2 meters) to the rear of the tractor or obscures any light, the implement shall be equipped with at least one red rear light. Hopefully that helps!
