Lenovo P15 G2 Unboxing and Performance Review
hI: nice video. Do you think this drive is good for an asus b350 f gaming motherboard with a ryzen 5 5600x? It is for general use, ocasional gaming and ocasional video editing. Most of all, I convert videos to h264 with handbrake and other software. So, I want to use it as a boot and working NVME. Right now I have a 2 tb predator gm7000 and I know is faster, however, it is limited to PCI E 3.0 speed. So, do you think this mp34 NVME is worth for my use, or I should use it as backup drive with a case?
Is this machine can be added with intel arch a380 ?
that power block is the same as the one that came with my precision 7710 mobile workstation.
RAM memory is soldered
Thank you very much!!! Really helpful!!!
Hi, Loved your video. Could you clarify something for me, please? If all you want is access to the SSD, how many screws (and which ones) do you need to loosen? Some machines I owned in the past required ONLY the one over the drive compartment.
Well I am a year late and ten dollars short!! 😂 Found a tossed out 3440 (& a 3410) to-day. I subbed! Did you say a touch screen? The 3440 I found has the i7.
My school gave us this laptop, it dosnt have touchscreen sadly though but excellent performance
could you share the link of the graphic card that would work on this machine? i would like to upgrade for 4gb to 8gb. Thanks!
Recent generation i9 cooled by such a tiny heat sink? I have my doubts. Great video, appreciate this upload. Not enough people cover these, yet I see them nonstop in corporate IT.
Its the 35w version.
I love the build quality on these things. You can pick up ex-lease, 3yr old ones for a very good price. Really solidly built. We use HP at work and I think the Dell is way more solid.
Dude! Poor lighting inside the PC.
Does the nvme flex caddy fit in any of the 4 bays or does it fit in the position shown in your video?
They definitely should put in a rear blower card. We want no hot air being vented inside such a compact chassis - Nvidia makes reference blower cards.
Boss please can i replace this power pack in precision 5820 ??
Would love it if you'd answer questions.
Does this have a fingerprint reader?
Thanks for the vid, how do I remove the M.2 carriage that holds the OS, I need to change?
Your review sold me on the 3440. Appreciate your detailed review!
Gotten your hands on the Crucial T500 yet? Would've liked to have seen them here...
we have the same exact machine we use for our flow cytometry lab 😊
Hi.please help me. My case is optiplex 3000 tower 2023. But for upgrade for gaming i dont khonw wich psu and gpu is ok with my case? For 500 or 600 watt and 8 gb or 4 gb pgu
Where is the WWAN card, also under the keyboard?
Hello, did you check if 2 slot hou like 3050 or 4060lp fots?
I'd choose the 990 Pro. It was, on average, the fastest performer overall, based on your charts. And, Samsung has a history of making the fastest SSDs, so this is no surprise.
Hi, can share the item # of the pci cable? I want to upgrade my gpu to p6000 but my 5820 doesnt come with gpu power cables.
For gen 3, that's pretty good 👍
Thanks for the video! Very enlightening, I'm watching the video in 2024. I plan to buy the "New Latitude 3440 Notebook" for home and school use only.
How noisy is this machine? Idle / normal use / heavy load?
Great video , I have the same system i7, but every few reboots I get HD not found error. I ran all the diags and it never finds any issues. Have you seen this before?
I have the i7 model and every few reboots i get a hard drive not found. Ran all the diagnostics and nothing - anyone else have this issue?
How can you call this video a "Full Disassembly," if you do not even bother to take off the motherboard?
One of the worst laptop i have had, very slow, always programs got stuck. Useless.
You can make text animation better with text background translucent black shadows Higher contrast images in intro Use font that looks attractive not color ful but stylish and user friendly
Is the battery user serviceable?
support Illustrator and Photoshop?
Did the 4080 fit with a splitter?
the WD black is overrated i got a 2TB one and its my slowest gen 4 drive - 990 pro, sk hynix p41 platinum and the solidigm p44 pro are the fastest gen 4 drives IMO
180W PSU and cannot upgrade to 13th gen cpu..... well......
Max ram upgrade?
Does it have keyboard light?
Yes keyboard is backlit
Great job covering the vital part of the video with the link to the other video.
Do you recommend a docking station for this notebook?
Be aware: the HDMI port is limited to 1080p output! I found out when I needed to connect two 1440p displays for a client.
I use this laptop and it's very nice.
for the first 8 screws when you say T5H can i use a T5?
Will be much safer to disable battery power before you touch specially a SSD.
does the speed (MB/s) really mater for the performance in game
Depends... If you're upgrading from an HDD to a NVMe, YES, the performance will be noticeable. However, it's not like you're going to get tremendous extra FPS's... But the loading times will be wayyyyyy faster. Like instead of waiting 1 minute to load a game/save, you'll take 10 seconds for example. Same thing with Windows btw. Although it doesn't happen allllllll the time with everyyyyy game... But the improvements will be there nevertheless. So instead of taking 10 seconds they can take 30-40 seconds in some cases. Still, it's 20-30 seconds that you don't have to wait for the load. Now... If you're talking about the difference between Gen3 vs Gen4 Nvme's... Which they do have a difference in MB/s, NO, the difference won't be much noticeable. We're talking about 2-10 seconds of difference in loading times. And the 10 seconds value, only happens in 1 or 2 cases. I'm not sure if that will be the case forever... They probably will improve that in the future... But for now, that's the state of things
wahat about sodijm 41pro thatsbeter than all
doesnt the 990 pro 4tb have double drfam cache does that give it edge ingaming
Can you put a 1050ti low profil ?
it come with a 180W psu only, don't buy it
