Wallabies v Pumas in Rosario 2013 Analysis
Splendid - absolutely splendid. Flat balls - runners changing the angle of the ball at pace - long passes-short passes-neat passes - brilliant reactions - pace in the outside channel...........what could be simpler? Thank-you Geoff Mould of Matraville High School and Australia Schools who started it all. Saw the Australian Schoolboys in 1981 - captain Steve Tuynman, coach Alan Thomas - to this day, the best rugby team I have ever seen.
God I miss George Smith
What a terrible video edit.
Awesome!
Legend
Legend!
ELLA, ELLA, ELLA STEVE!
pass..backup...speed.
one of the best 13 to play the game
Awesome memories. What excitement there was then.
what a player!!
What a great player... Legend!
Stunning...soo many greats!!
This takes me back to a time when rugby was worth watching
Fearless
The Blues beat the Crusaders for the first time in 2 years, not 10, it was their first win over the Crusaders at home in 10 years.
Wish you'd do more scrum analysis especially for newer games.
Be interesting to see an analysis of different binds.
Really interesting point about the force angles of the second row players and how there are two units of 3 working together - 1 second row per pod - as opposed to usual thinking that second rows work closely with each other.
I'm an ABs fan, but, MANNN do I miss those days. Surely, The Wallabies luck will turn around under Schmidt. I'm looking forward to some epic Bledisloe encounters between Schmidt and Razor in the years to come. Fingers crossed 🤞
My all time favourite Wallaby. Class act.
GOAT
Used to love watching the running rugby of the 80,s
Those were the days!
Best breakaway of all time
Gosh he was good. Thanks.
The 1984 wallabies had the best backline through the 80s with Mark Ella steering the ship and they utilised a flat attack. Rules have changed but the fundamentals remain the same. Puzzled kiwi
Mark Ella... <3
Did a great job at Bristol!!
The Wallabies during this period had a great captain in John Eales and a superb back line headed by Gregan and Larkham.
As an all blacks fan, Mortlock is one of my all time favourite centres
Greegs, Bernie, Horan, Little/Herbert, Roffy, Tune, Burkey then later sailor, rogers, walker = glory dayzzz
Do you have highlights of the 1983 encounter between All Blacks and Wallabies at the SCG?
Some truly GREAT players there!👏
I remember watching him play for Gordon in the Sydney comp. And he was just so focussed and intense. It didn't matter if he was playing for Australia, The Brumbies or at club level. He always gave everything. Even watching at club level when he started you just knew he was going to play for his country.
Mortlock giteau combo one of the greats
When rugby was exciting to watch...too many bloody rules now. Just don't understand the game any more....
Those were great world class wallabies. Was fortunate to see some of those players in tour NZ. Rugby was alot more entertaining and a spectator sport then. Professionalism has not improved the game.
Mark E One of the greatest Kiwi 🥝 fan
Terrible music
Grew up with those games..love rugby
Wasn't Ella sublime ?
Mr SL that drop
Those were the days of my heroes
great player
I loved these days but would take for granted these victories. Eddie Jones was the last good coach Australian rugby had. (He went on to coach a world cup winning team for Southafrica yet the powers that be here thought letting him go was a smart idea). We then had Robbie Deans come in with no idea of our particular rugby culture & he tried to turn the play style into a traditional european way. Wtf was that moron thinking. South of the equator rugby was and forever should be broken play & open, creative, assault-style rugby, not trench warfare bs in the forwards. Boring as fk. Deans ruined it, Mackenzie tried to clean up the mess. Now we have alot of talent but no gel. Hate to sound like a fleeting fan, but I'll come back to the game when Australia has a solid coaching unit.
What happened to the wallabies they were so damn good back then
Oh man do I miss these days. I knew at the time it was consistently a time to remember heh
Ah, I was hoping for Andrew Walker's amazing jinking running tries against the Maori and the Lions from 2001
Look at the precision of Larkham's passing from fly-half
