Lol yea I remember green and white gear back in the day. I'm not a fan of how freely exotics drops but also how strong the average legendary has gotten to power creep almost any exotic in the game. I get why it happened though but I know it's not sustainable. There's gonna be a major reset or refresh down the line for sure.

I don’t the issue is seeing it all as rarity, which is also a product of Bungie’s poor handling of loot. Exotics are not what I’d considered to be something “rare”, they fit in a position to help create builds or enhance them. Legendaries are improved rare weapons with more options available to them. Seeing it as rarity over potential is one of their greatest oversights.

An Armchair dev would be saying "do this and that, it's easy just do this, etc" without understanding an ounce of the development process. That's not at all what's happening here. I actually have the knowledge and context as well as the opportunity to share feedback with Bungie as a creator on a game I care about. This is just thought provoking feedback. No need to be throwing shots at random people on the internet with little to no context in your words.

Yea dude. The solution can't and won't be increased vault space anymore. It's not sustainable.

Saving 1 roll should be very easy for them. Replace the true false in the table of what you have unlocked with a code that maps to a specific roll. They already have the ability to pull from collections. The bigger issue will be what are they going to do to solve the armor issue when they change that to have stat and perk combos that you need to have. Hopefully they do a bigger overhaul that solves that too.

I've been saying this since Forsaken. Yes, I think it's a great idea. Allow us to curate our own collection.

I agree, I'm curious to see how armor goes. Currently I've never valued having multiple rolls of armor. I know people optimize stats but I've never had armor impact my vault beyond exotics and raid armor I was collecting. Good points though!

Exactly. The way I put it and people hate when I say it lol but sunsetting is necessary, in this way though you pick and choose what gets sunset and archived. You might never pull it again BUT you have the option. The space management gets put on the player because Vault space will always be limited.

@@SYCKNIGHT I fully understand and agree with your point but I think sunsetting in destiny 2 has too many connotations. I think archive is a much better fit. The issue with sunsetting is the major split in the community. You have streamers and a people with plenty of time for the grind and you have the working adults that carve out time here and there. With archiving you let those who do grind a ton shelve their godroll to see new stuff and those with limited time can skip it if they like what they have.

It depends on what aspect of the game you love (ie: story, pvp, social, etc). I'd say wait until the new content next year. They have a lot of new systems and updates planned that I'm confident will be refreshing. Also you'll have a surge of interest and players so better time to assess how you really feel. It's a slow period on the game right now. If you're actively interested you could check it out for Ep. 3 Heresy end of Jan 2025. My personal relationship with the game's changed after 10 years. I love it, and I've found joy in the things this game does great to keep me coming back. That's different for everyone.

@ the story pvp and pve was amazing to me and all of the gunplay was so smooth and it’s so so satisfying to land those headshots. It really is my favorite game but sunsetting made me so angry. I put so much money into it just for bungie to give us the finger and wipe their asses with our money. It’s a love hate relationship but I can’t say my hate doesn’t outweigh the love after what they did to us. Ill give it some time and maybe hop back on it, I really do wanna love it but it’s so hard with what the devs did. Immortal space traveling light bearers given power from a god to fight off darkness and aliens man its just such a good concept.
