Thanks for the video!
I'll keep that in mind.
The flared ears looks like trouble. Not robust enough for sure. Thanks for the video!
No problem 👍
Looks like everyone was right on the Lock N Lube! So far I am pretty darn happy with it. Thanks for making this video Andrew.
@oakiewoodsman you are very welcome sir.
weird grit!!!!! That doesn't seem too good at all. I will do 6 or 7k oil change intervals but I do believe 10k would make me feel uneasy. Interesting video!
@@oakiewoodsman lots of carbon grit from infrequent high mileage oil changes. I do 5k oil changes on my truck and my wife's durango.
Those carbs seems to hold up pretty decent, i would make sure to adjust the fuel air mixture, it'll run significantly better with a little adjustment
@@TenMillimeterSocket thanks for the tip. I installed it and have only adjusted the idel on it. I've been putting the miles on on it today to see if I need further adjustments.
Hey how much was your mower after tax? And the headlights on your mower did you install them yourself? That's sweeet I don't see many videos of the 7 series John Deere zero turns on the Tube either.
@@DoctorRickSanchez so the z760r HC pro 60cut 27hp kawasaki is what I have. It comes with the lights factory on the R models. They do offer an additional led lighting kit for it also. To get the HC pro 60cut, it was an upgrade of about $600. I also got the material collection system for it. It's originally a 6.5 bushel capacity. That whole system was 2700, I believe. I sold my old kubota mower and put those monies on the new one. So mower, MSC, and insurance came to a little over 14k. Since I bought it I have added the Mulch Control system. Changed out the factory bags for 2 of the 4.5 bushel capacity bags from the z9 line. Also I will be using the hi-lift blades from the z9 series. They are huge improvement over the factory blades. Also they are cheaper so that's a win. I'm planning to get more videos of this machine cleaning up the yard here soon. Thanks for watching.
I wound up buying boxes since they were cheaper than jugs, and I mean actually cheaper they were $22 on clearance
@onecleangti the boxes really are cheaper but not a fan of being short on the oil.
@onecleangti the boxes really are cheaper but not a fan of being short on the oil.
@@andrewanderson1436 i mean for $22 I cant complain. the one ill be mad about is the euro box since i paid over 100 for it
Thanks. I like 5 qt!
Yukkee kidderz! Book sayz 10,000 fer changes! Golly shucks! Lol I go 3000 mile max, 6 monthe with syn 5w 30 min. My jugs sit 1 year and used oil settles out to amber. Silly me! I never blow an engine tho! No oil burners either! Happy days kidders!!!
A little bit like throwing a hot dog down a hallway😂
Why would anyone buy the boxes? I use the jugs to recycle the old oil and the price really isn't much different.
@WeSRT4 currently its the only way to buy 12qts at a time. You might be able to find a box of 6 qts bottles. I have always bought 12qts at a time as it's cheaper than singles or 5qt jug and a single qt.
Reminds me of buying rolls of electrical wire at the big box hardware stores. Always short.
How accurate are markings on the 5 qt bottles? They are usually only approximate. Only way to really tell would to be get a graduated cylinder, get another accurate pouring bottle, or mass the amount of product (suggested below) and determine volume based on density.
@johdirt7843 it should be a metered process for the specific amount, and weight is probably a factor as well. Also have to have space for expansion as well. However, the methods used should deliver said capacitys of product being sold as. However, my father in law uses the 5w30 5qt max life red jugs for his 3.5 ecoboost and one qt bottle has always shown correct on the dip stick. My 2.7 eco and my wife's durango are 6qt capacity as well and shown short on the dip stick after measuring the oil and filling and running the engine confirming that the bags were in fact short on oil. Beyond that I'm not sure how or what is causing the shortage of oil in the 12qt bags.
Can't it just be weighed and compared to known weight per gallon of that specific oil?
@oldman6422 That's a good question, but I think you would have to have gotten a perfect "box" to go off of. The other bag had a whole separate pocket trapping oil. There are so many variables that could make a difference between each box, I would think.
Even if 11.5 quarts the garage box is still cheaper per quart than the 5 quart jug. It is especially cheaper than the 1 quart. Used my local walmart pricing.
@@KforConstant absolutely. Just hate being short and having to get the extra qt.
I've purchased over a dozen boxes from Walmart and now over a dozen directly from Valvoline and have not had this happen... yet. I am now buying the 5 gallon boxes of restore and protect. I'll let you know if I get shorted. FYI, I have only purchased 5W-30
@kerrylewis2581 I'm not sure why this is happening, but I was a little disappointed by it. For price and quantity 12qts, it is a good buy vs. 5qt jugs or single qts all day. But having 4 boxes in a row do that it's displeasing, you know.
I'd guess the original owner took good care of that truck. The newer owner/owners, not so much.
@kirkpalmer1709 the guy in the video that bought the truck said it wasn't running that well and had a massive oil leak at the oil cooler lines on the radiator. The brakes were gone on the front. The steering linkage was all falling apart. Windshield was busted. The whole truck is riddled with dents. It's rough lol. We might make a video on this s10.
Of that's that trucks first filter, tons of material has bypassed the filter material by now. I'd be surprised if the motor doesn't have a rod knock at the least
@phillipcooley83 surprisingly, it doesn't yet. It was not well maintained.
My mother in law got it for me last Christmas and I've been using it nonstop lately pulling engines and transmissions. You'll definitely have to finish off the bolts or break em loose manually or with another tool, if they're big or too tight. But it's amazing for low-mid torque requirements, and for feeding long bolts! Definitely cannot complain for the price!
@@alenav100 agreed
That stuff looks like carbon
@frankv64 yes sir. Lot of big chunks in it.
always run 5k or less OCI's on forced induction engines.
@riccochet704 it taken me a while to convince the owner to change it sooner than just going by the "change now" message.
A higher quality filter would have caught all of those particulates.
@TheManDownstairs13 all of that is on the side of the filter that catches everything. That's just a bunch of crud in that engine.
This is part 2 ua-cam.com/video/FiQLJH3i24M/v-deo.htmlsi=3byeI5slkn_ZwvIu
Just buy a fleetguard.
@Nozinbonsai ill have one in the future to open and see how it worked out. It's on a bad boy mz magnum with 24hp kohler.
@andrewanderson1436 COOL MAN👍 brands don't matter anymore but quality is king, price is the servant.
@Nozinbonsai yes sir. I started cutting all of my filters open to see what was quality.
They are metal ends what's the purpose of that my Supertect 6607 looks exactly the same for $4 or $7 for the 20K miles For the Walmart Price i am very happy i change my filter every 60 day's it's right on top in my Subaru and change my oil Pennzoil ultra 5w30 on my 2012 I LOVE THE CENTER NYLON CORE FOR BETTER OIL FLOW I WISH ALL OIL FILTERS HAD NYLON CORE THAT'S JUST ME !!!!
@ronaldlaw5326 the metal end caps are supposed to hold it all together. Some filters have fiberious end caps to hold them together. I like the e-core inners they definitely flo oil better than the tiny metal luver cores. I think they should be all filters, but that's my opinion.
@@andrewanderson1436 Sir the metal end caps DO hold it together that why it's ALL compressed together with bypass or coil for the price you can't beat it just make sure people do REGULAR OIL changes 3K to 5K max in my opinion I have watch well over a 100 on oil filters and videos on which oil is the BEST It is so wonderful to have these on UA-cam to watch and learn 🙂💯
@ronaldlaw5326 Yes, sir. But on those two filters, the ends did not stay glued together, which is kinda wild considering how many I have cut open before, and they did not come apart. I like watching Lake Speed Jr. of the motor oil geek for some good in-depth oil information. Also agree regularly changing oil and filter is best preventive maintenance out there.
@@andrewanderson1436 whip city wrenches I think I spelled it right has open EVERY oil filter even comparing New and old side by side plus puts New and old filters under a microscope NOBODY has cut open more oil filters and sends oil samples to Blackstone for analysis I also has very high respect for Geck oil guy and Ford Boss-man videos between the 3 UA-camrs and project Farm videos test anything and everything from chainsaws to paper towels if you ever want to know what to buy and get your money 💲 worth watch these videos I am hooked on finding the best and the truth on products Thank you Sir for the chat 💯🙂
Put in oil bypass kit on it from amsoil
@PC_CERTIFIED not 100%, but I don't think they make a kit for small engines.
Try Ballard Inc for blades. I've had really good results with them on my mowers.
I have had mine for 3 years with 95000miles and I drive my truck pretty hard everyday and I haven’t had a problem with it idk if I’m lucky or if it’s something else and I race mines too
@JacobStevens-c6w what engine do you have. I've known a few people that I've worked with and some family and it's been hit r miss who has had problems. Coworker traded his f150 2.7 4wd with 90k and only had hard shifting sometimes. My wife had a 20 2.7 2wd and was perfect. My father in has a 19 3.5 4wd with 140k and has been ok with him. Anther coworker had a 19 3.5 2wd and he had no issues. My truck is on its 3rd transmission now with almost 80k on the truck and almost 40k on the trans.
Is there a reason that the TCU15881 (High Lift) blade wont fit your machine?
Nice machine. Ive been using a 915b for the past 8 or 9 years, 2 things I wish my mower had is that 27hp kawi (or bigger) and a full suspension seat. I could watch mower videos all day long. Take care
2nd trans in 4 years is crazy.
@DylanSnellgrove I bought this truck in June 2022 and it had 29k on it. By the time it rolled to 38k it was on its 3rd transmission. To this day it still has a few issues and just over 75k miles.
Lemon law that thing and gtfo. I wouldn't want to own one of those 10 speeds inside warranty, let alone outside.
@JackS425 only if bought new could I use lemon law in Oklahoma. I tried no dice tho.
I’m thinking of getting this same model I wanted a 900 series but the cheapest one comes with the koler engine, and I know a lot of people that have been having issues with those. So this is the next in my price range. The only thing I don’t like is that the deck is 9 gauge and I’m in a lot of sand so I’m still not sure. But it’s a nice mower
@crazyadventuresandreviews you will definitely burn through blades in the sand. The blades on this is are not as thick as my kubota blades were.
It's the CDF Drum failure. There is a new part out that fixes it's. Just had mine done under warranty. Shifts nice now. That temp is normal for these transmissions. Have the same truck
@@stevemott7849 mine is not under warranty anymore unless they make a tsb to go back and cover these things.
@@stevemott7849 I still have some issues with the 3rd transmission surging forward when starting first thing in the morning and hard shifts between 3rd and 7
The starting cold and the lunging forward mine does as well that is from the drop and hydraulic pressure in the transmission from sitting for long periods of time it's a Ford thing that they haven't come up a solution yet for that . But after having the CDF drum replacement with the new manufactured bushing that won't slide it shifts amazing now @andrewanderson1436
