Hieee~ I’m floriesha ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ
I’m just a girl in my 20s, learning to love myself completely while romanticizing the uncertainty of life ♡
I use my stories and experiences to help the girlies unlock the potential within themselves and cultivate a life that truly makes them happy
I post weekly videos yapping about personal development, lifestyle, beauty, and skincare...and sometimes, I get a lil’ philosophical with a video essay here and there ⊹₊ ⋆
I hope my little corner of the internet feels like a warm hug or a cozy chat with your bestie ୨୧
Thank you so much for being here, love youuu (∩˃o˂∩)♡

Spend a weekend with me in Boston 🤗🤗 !! As a recent undergraduate, I am finally taking the time to see Boston in a different light. On Saturday, I got ready to make my Apple Genius appointment and while they fixed my iPhone, I went to Chinatown and visited Tora ramen, cafe corner & bakery. Then I finished off my day by watching the movie Red One. On Sunday, I spent time with one of my friends!!...

Hiieee~ 🥰 I've been feeling called to send out a message to angry black women. In this video, I share my feelings and thoughts on what it's like being a Black woman, especially a young black girl growing up in a world that feels like they have the right to determine who and what we can be. Sometimes, it can get a little bit lonely or even frustrating to love yourself as the world continues to p...

Awweee~, you're so sweet! Thank you so so much for supporting my channel 😇
skin is glowing!! 😍
thanks beautiful 🤗🤗
did you take you’re course in korean or english? and do you have to know korean before applying to yonsei?
hiee!!! All of my courses were taught in English except for my KLI class (Korean Language Course). And no, you don't have to know Korean before applying to Yonsei!! I will be talking about this in an upcoming video soon 🤗 thank for watching!!
🤣Getting all dressed up and then realizing you got the date wrong is so relatable. But your hair came out so cute and I love the vlog!
RIGHT!!! lmaooo thank you luv 🥰🥰
Ellooooo I got a question,if you don’t mind answering, what were your grades through out high school ❤
ellooooo~ i'm gonna be so honest with you.. lol, i was a straight a student ( i was such a little over achiever 🤓) i will say though, these study abroad programs mostly pay attention to your college transcript...unless you plan on going abroad in high school, then I guess your grades would matter then. But i do think that the minimum gpa for studying abroad is 3.0 (i would double check though!) 🤗🤗
You are so right. The block button is my bestfriend as well! New subbie here. I would love for you to connect with me.💜
Welcome to the fam! 💕 I’m so glad you resonated with this video and yessss, the block button is our power move! 👍
Refreshing sights but nothing as refreshing as walking and seeing namjoon out of no where❤
Seeing him made me soo happy that day 🤭🤭 the highlight of my day 🤍
Thank you for this and I love that Angel song too 💯❤️😊. I needed this video since I as a Black Canadian Woman I started to feel just absolute rage start to creep inside of me particularly what is happening to women in America, all of the waging wars, why am I so lonely? Questioning my sexuality, and the never ending disease of racism especially in Canada too. Just lot I know Burbank thanks for your video I really needed to her this message and this video felt like you were giving me a light hug 🤗 .
I am so glad this video resonated with you!!! 🤍🤍🤍 I feel you on that rage, I hope this video helped you feel a bit lighter 🥰🥰

Thank you for being part of this community and for respecting the values we share here! ☺
Is it hard to get accepted to yonsei????
to be honest, that is a hard question for me to know exactly and answer honestly... i feel like as an international student, it may be less challenging seeing that yonsei wants and encourages international/foreign students to attend the university. hopefully that answers your question a bit ☺️
@ TYSM….U HELPED ALOT🫶🏼❤️

Hi i plan on applying for yonsei next year I need some tips thanks
That’s so exciting! Definitely check out my blog post site: www.ciee.org/author/florieshab I talk a lot about my experience and provide tips here and there! Best of luck with the application process 😊
All the food in this video 😮💨😍 And do you have a lot of free time with your study?
i knowww 🤤 !!! yeah I had a lot of free time while i was abroad even though I was taking 5 classes. Sometimes I think back and wondered how I was able to explore so much of seoul during the weekdays ☺️
Hi. May I ask if studying Communications in Korea is relevant. I mean, would I find a tangible employment opportunity if I do a master’s in this course?
Hiieee :) I think it would be best to do some research and see what jobs are available to foreigners who have master degrees in Communication. I've been told by many though that knowing how to speak Korea will give you a leg up and provide you with much more job opportunities! Good Luck 🤗
aesthetic labour is a concept that I hadn't have a word for it. great points.
Right?? I’m glad that it helped you put a name to it! ☺️
This helps me be more confident as an African American Male who is not Traditionally Masculine, but is a Soft Masculine ❤️🖤❤️
I'm so glad this video resonated with you!! We gotta show love to all expressions of masculinity! 🤍
It amazes me how white males are always used as the example for any given topic, usually in a negative manner and about the power they abuse across the world, the part that amazes me is 5% of the world's population is white males. So I would like to know why did the 95% of the world population allow this to happen if it were true
Please reply "I have studied a 3-year DAE in ICT and my percentage is 71%, with Grade A and I am not in the top 20% of my class. The major I want to apply for is fashion design, for which I have considerable knowledge and fashion design diploma online certificates. I have also completed an internship in the IT field, and I am thinking of clearing TOPIK level 1. Can I apply gks -U ?"
Thats sounds soo cool! However, I’m not sure! I’d recommend reaching out to Yonsei directly, they will definitely have the best advice for you ☺️
I thought in America, its black men who are seen as the most masculine, not white men.
Historically, especially in Western media, Black men's masculinity is often villainized and perceived as threatening, in contrast to white masculinity. In movies like The Birth of a Nation or Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, whiteness acts as the "norm'" and makes anyone else look "different" or "other". For example, Black men are shown to possess a threatening/hyper-sexualized form of masculinity, and Asian men are shown to possess an emasculated/soft/feminine version of masculinity. Both portrayals are viewed as inferior to white masculinity, which can lead to negative consequences for both Black and Asian men.
In Asia itself, majority of men are not soft masculine. Majority of Asian men in Asian countries don't like to be soft masculine and majority of Asian women don't either. This soft feminine look for men is a recent thing, around the 1980's Japanese anime, then K pop, then now Chinese entertainers, given the thousands of years of Asian history, feminine men is a recent trend, also linked with Western feminism ( masculine women ). The rest of Asian entertainment, movies, TV is more masculine men. And mostly tween females like femme men, ironically in the patriarchal East and the feminist West. I guess, when Asian women are oppressed and Western women think they are oppressed, they both go for the soft man who is "non threatening". Non threatening also means you can't defend yourself or the women, and you are emotionally and physically weak. Here oppressed Asian women and feminist Western women find common ground. Irony indeed. I'm a gay Asian man from Asia in his 50's.
You bring up so many good points! I totally agree. I do think this softer masculinity look is a newer phenomenon. I still have a lot to learn about AAPI representation in Western media, but your point is really interesting! When I started watching K-dramas, I noticed that the male leads were portrayed as masculine, just in a different way than we usually see in Western media. It actually made me see Asian masculinity in a more positive light. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences! ☺
Interesting video! As an androgynous FTM person, growing up with K-pop has likely influenced both my self-image and my sense of attraction. There are definitely many negative stigmas, especially if you're a boy group fan in the West, where you'll often face criticism. The way masculinity is viewed outside of the West, particularly in relation to race, is very interesting.
Thank you!! But yes I absolutely agree with you... k-pop has even changed the way I understand masculinity... like it challenges those toxic and heteronormative beliefs around masculinity. But I am glad you enjoyed the video :)
Aaaaaa I’ve been looking for a good video essay on this!! You did a great job💗!
Thank youuu!!! ☺️
This looks like such a fun thing to experience!
It really was 🤩
Your ielts?
Hii and no... it looks like a great program to secure a job abroad though :)
What made you decide on Yonsei? Currenly looking at different schools in seoul, but the main contestans for my program is Yonsei and Korea University. And since you lived in the dormitory, what is it like to have a roommate? I can't really decide weather to pick a solo room or double room, since I can see the pros and cons for both. Btw love you videos <3
Awwwee thank you so much for your support and love!! 💕 I mainly chose Yonsei because it seemed more international friendly. Most of the content creators I found on youtube went there, so that helped me a lot. As for korea university, I wasnt able to get any insider look of typical foreigner life there, especially women of color. But people from korea did tell me that KU is much more rigorous in academics while Yonsei is in the dab middle of seoul and the life of international students are more fun. Hopefully that is helpful ☺️
Im a colour skin too an i want to apply for fall semester 2025 but i don't know where to apply
Yesssss, I love seeing other black girls venturing out and seeing new places. I wanted to study abroad in Korea too but due the costs I kinda of gave up on doing study abroad the traditional way so I decided to do a budget version. Currently I am taking online classes from my college in America while I am doing a working holiday in Korea. And finically I think it’s one of the best decisions I could have made and since I have some scholarships and found some cheap housing here I’m only gonna end spending a little over 5k for this semester in Korea (this is including everything except the flight).
Congrats!! That's amazing that you found a way to make it happen. I really commend you! Also 5k is pretty good!! I hope you enjoy your time there 🤗
Your hair looks so cute!
Thank you ☺️
Omg I wanted to go to café Knotted in Gangnam so bad, but on that specific day they had an inspection so they were closed 🥲
nooo :( i'm so sorry!! It honestly was one of the best dessert cafes I visited during my time in korea. Next time 🤗
Those pastries look so good 😍😍😍 and the botanical garden omggg 😍
Awwwee!! Thanks for watching luv ☺️☺️ but ikr!! Ughh I miss it!
She did slay your hair!! So cute
Thanks 🤭
Are there international medical students on full gks scholarships there?
hey! I'm not sure...there might have been. I mostly interacted with undergraduate students who were study abroad through a study abroad program or Yonsei's summer study abroad program. I'm sorry about not being too helpful :(
You're so cutee this is such a cute vlog 💕
awweee 🤭 thank you!!!
Hehhe I love this 😗
i 🫶 you
Such a cute video, I hope you had a great experience in Korea!
Awwwe thanks!!! 😊☺️
i made a cameo! loving that you're continuing to share your experience. can't wait for more!
Thanks luv ☺️☺️
