    My buddy used a piece of steel channel with a bunch of holes in it across the top of his kayak and he put boat fenders that inflate for the outriggers. It's working for now but your design looks better. I am thinking about adding some smaller ones to my yak.

      @MakingNoise45 6 днів тому

      @briray318 I don't think so. I had a 16 3.5 EcoBoost. I put a magnaflow cat back on it, and it sounded horrible. At an idle, it sounded like a race car, but as soon as you got into the gas, it turned into a rice burner. I took it off and just did a resonator delete. It sounded a little better. It's hard to make a v6 sound good fyi. That's the reason I bought a 5.0 lol

    Great video/ Question: how much deflection on the CV joint angles was resultant from the leveling, e.g., too high of a lift via shock tower spacers verses a diff drop bracket method can result in a lot of rotation stress on the joint if it's too much. Any ideas on what your CV joint angles are now as I believe in stock form they are with little if any deflection? Kindest regards.

    • @MakingNoise45
      @MakingNoise45 Місяць тому

      What a difficult question. 1st of all, I have no idea, lol. 2nd, my buddy had me do a 3 inch on his 2014, and his ball joint pulled apart. Lucky for him, he was in his driveway so no major damage. He had to do an aftermarket upper control arm to get within specs. Now I did a 2.5, and I'm maxed out on my camber and cast. So I wouldn't go any more than a 2.5. Anything after that, I'd do a full suspension lift. I really hope that answers your question.

    My question is, what battery do you have your winch hooked to? Main battery or secondary battery. The reason I'm asking is the Honda pioneer 700-4 and the Honda pioneer 1000 have an electronic controlled transmission. If the voltage drops too far, it can cause damage to the transmission. I currently have it run to the secondary battery along with the LED lights. But I run the stock headlight and front and rear Led lights. Stock lights are off the main battery LED lights, and the winch is run off the secondary battery. But my LED lights flicker when using the winch for plowing snow. Keep in mind that I haven't yet installed the battery isolator yet, but I do have one I picked up yesterday. I just need to know if I should have the winch hooked to the main or the secondary battery. I did build my own battery box and currently have a deep cycle battery in the tray. Full sized under the drivers seat. In that empty space and turned the oil fill, to the other side similar to the way and that other guy did yours an he did his. Thank you for your video

    • @MakingNoise45
      @MakingNoise45 2 місяці тому

      I have all my accessories hooked to the 2nd battery. I had to pull a tree off the trail using my winch, and I worked it hard, and my lights still dimmed. Now light use I'm fine. I think you'll be happy adding a 2nd battery.

    I test drove a pioneer 1000-5 today unknowingly in sport mode. Very rough shifting. Distracting to say the least. 700-4 doesn’t have sport mode. How does the shifting feel? We are shopping 700-4’s currently. No turf mode and BOTH rear wheels driving are probably cause it to push through corners. Is that what you are referring to? Great review! J

    • @MakingNoise45
      @MakingNoise45 2 місяці тому

      Pretty much. The big thing to remember is how much cheaper the pioneer is over other machines and that it's a gear to gear transmission, not a belt drive. Belt drives are much smoother but more maintenance.

      @@MakingNoise45 reviews state that a lot of heat comes up through the cabin area. Do you get that? If so how bad is it?

    • @MakingNoise45
      @MakingNoise45 2 місяці тому

      Yes, the cabin gets hot. Any mid engine sxs will have that problem. I did a video on my way to help with that. I put a full glass windshield on mine, and that makes the hot cabin much worse. Hindsight being 20/20 I wish I would have done a split windshield, and the hot cabin wouldn't be a problem. The other problem with not having a split windshield is that it pulls a lot of dust back into the cabin, so a rear windows or screen is needed. Please subscribe and look up my other videos.

      @@MakingNoise45 the heat is tolerable or overpowering? I think I’ve decided on the 700-4 and I know I am buying a hot cabin. I guess maybe I should rent one for a weekend and try it out. I love my 700-4 deluxe. Mine is a 17 model. 2738 miles 298 hours later and I still love it!! Just wish i had the larger glove box like on the newer models.
