Hi Evan - Admittedly I don’t know anything about your company (other than what I learned in the video), but I will say that it was fascinating listing to you talk about this specific example of distortion. Personally, I’m an investor of AMC (yes, one of the so-called “meme stocks” if you’re familiar), and have been since 2021. I have seen myriad articles on Seeking Alpha, Motley Fool, Investor Place, CNBC, and more, in very much the same format as the one you shared here. They are skilled at twisting the narrative. Even though they often contradict themselves or say things that are patently false, most people are only reading at a superficial level and likely aren’t looking for such deception. And part of me wonders how much of the grift is done in an attempt to influence public sentiment, versus simply creating plausible deniability for malicious tactics such as spoofing, naked shorting, and etc. I’m sure it’s likely a combination of both. I’ve also seen many accounts on social media (such as Reddit and X) engage in what would seem to be bashing. I’ve seen several UA-camrs do this as well. And last but not least, the CEO of Virtu, himself, Doug Cifu. This guy will get into arguments with random shareholders about AMC/GME, even stooping so low as to use ad hominem and hurl playground-style insults at random individuals. So while I’m not a CEO, myself, I certainly feel your pain as it relates to the concept of short and distort. It’s a disease; a blight on society. It’s very insidious and oftentimes not apparent to the untrained eye. And worst of all is that it’s seemingly very difficult to prosecute such things. I’d be interested to hear an update on your company as it relates to all this - are you still being attacked?
