This dive was one of my all time favorites. The water was unusually calm and clear for a December. Please enjoy, and i'd love to hear your comments.

Man, I honestly thought the Blaze got a lot hotter. And I was under the impression the grill was supposed to get screaming hot, like 900 for searing.

I imagine if more people made videos such as this one, we the consumers would get better products. Thanks for making this video, very informative 👍

I was thinking about the same setup EXCEPT, for the reasons you mentioned, I was going to get the Blackstone 28" drop-in griddle instead of the Blaze. But with the grill and burner not getting hot enough for you...does that happen all the time or just on windy days? Are you using propane or nat. gas? Propane gets way, way hotter than nat. gas, but with LP you're switching tanks all the time. Is there a way for you to reconfigure your kitchen so the wind doesn't blow through the grill? Maybe rotate it 90-degrees, build some sort of windbreak behind it. etc.? You should get some scrap wood and build a tabletop windbreak (36" or 40" wide, 16" - 18" tall) then try it. If that prototype helps, then you can engineer/fabricate something nicer and long-lasting. Maybe that's a small business idea for you. It would seem there would be a market for a product like that. ;-) It's a shame they didn't fix the wind issue with the latest upgrades. The burners are certainly powerful enough. It seems like it would be a fairly easy design fix...just extend the back of the firebox up 2 inches and add an outward lip to deflect the wind a bit. Lynx has a nice design for that...except the grill is 2x + more expensive and cooks essentially the same as the Blaze.

Replace one of the burners with the sear burner! It makes mine really hot. It helps with quick searing within a minute and then I use that burner for indirect heating and it work really well. All burners on high with the searer gets up to 600-700 degrees.

Thanks flr the thorough review. All of your likes and dislikes are areas I'd focus on too. Is there another brand you've researched that you wish you went with?

Admittedly I got excited and made the purchase based on videos here on UA-cam(mostly vendors). So no real life experience with others. I would add two things to consider. 1) Blaze has made changes to the controls lighting in the new LTE model that has made it into a great feature, back lit knobs and such. 2) I contacted Blaze and BBQ guys about my concerns and to date both seem uninterested.

I am in the market for a good grill. Any recommendations? Was leaning towards the LTE+ or else Coyote. Also heard Delta Heat is very good and Artisan or American Outdoor Grill.

I'd love to advise, but I can't. I'm a blue collar guy who spent a lot on my outdoor kitchen and now am making the best of it. My experience with other products is very limited. Knowing what I know today I would not have made the spur of the moment purchase that I did, and would have researched more.

Best review on UA-cam I’ve ever seen. Are those the blaze cabinets, if so what do you think?

About the review comment, Thank you!. About the cabinets and drawers, no they are Vevor. The sizes matched almost perfectly. Seem to be fair-good quality and at a huge discount compared to others. $ to product, good value.

I also agree with everything you said. I deeply regret buying the 5 burner LTE and the griddle. They don’t cook evenly and it’s impossible to cook on with all of the cold spots. I also get flare ups like I’ve never seen. Aside from being pretty, these Blaze grills are some of the worst I have seen. I’m at the point that I’m considering ripping apart my outdoor kitchen and granite countertops to get rid of these. Also be warned, when I was planning this out, I asked the folks at BBQ guys if they would recommend a different grill for more money, and they steered me towards the Blaze grill. It turns out that they used to be owned by the same people or they still are. I don’t remember exactly but you can google it. In hindsight I would spend more for better quality. This grills just are not good.

Thanks for the honest reviews! You’re literally one of the ONLY videos on here talking about them.

Yes, there seems to be a lot of videos "selling" Blaze grills and such, but very few that are end user comments.

I have the exact problem with my Blaze grill. I put all (4) burners on low and in 15 minutes I am at 400. While I cook the temp keeps rising up to 500. I end up having to turn off (2) burners. i am working with Blaze now to hopefully resolve this issue. Sorry to hear yours is not working properly. Have you called Blaze to see what they say?

I have contacted both Blaze and BBQ guys via online chat and email asking if there are any retro fixes or modes. I received from both basically a simple, "Nope" with no further inquiry from either.
