I feel so blessed to have witnessed this amazing webinar! Thank you Sinister Wisdom for getting these heroines of lesbian publishing together and on screen. Naiad Press was important to me throughout my early lesbian feminist life in the last century in W. Europe. The feminist book market was quite focused on US publishing until the Dutch feminists started their own press releases. I had the pleasure of meeting the editors of Lesbian Nuns: Breaking Silence, Nancy Manahan & Rosemary Keefe Curb when they courageously took their book on tour. I met them in the Netherlands which was a bit of breathing space for them because in my 'progressive' country this book was welcomed and very well received. Through them I heard of Barbara Greer too and her pioneering publishing work. My heart is jumping for joy to see my 'erased' lesbian past come to life again. What a week it has been! Carolyn Gage presenting the reading of the letter exchange between Georgia O'Keefe and The Butch (Maria Chabot) which was an absolute delight, and Cris Williamson with her sell out and live streamed concerts performing her album The Changer and the Changed. It's almost like the good old lesbian feminist times are back again. This is very healing for me in my sometimes deep despair. And last but not least, do not forget we have a fabulous surviving and thriving lesbian press here in Australia where I've lived for 35 years, Spinifex Press, 30+ years and still going strong! Renate Klein and Susan Hawthorne are keeping the lesbian feminist flame alive. As Cris sang; Filling Up and Spilling Over! 💞Margo in Melbourne.

I believe I been kind of political prisoner in secure hospital where they kept me 5 years despite sound mental health and my disputes about some subject been valid reason for detention lol I survived

And loving the readings....will refrain from commenting on then individually.....Hooray for Feminist writers!!
