Wave 8 of the Lego Mario sets introduced physical instructions into the series, they were carried into Wave 9 and will likely continue to appear in future sets. I don't know why it took so long, but at least they're here now.

4:58, you'd be right it is that reference. Funny enough, a mod account made a joke saying it would be cool if the base game had that sort of thing happen, and it did. Also I use FNF most of the time because it's tiring to say otherwise when you get into talking about every mod, especially since mods use the abbreviation as well in the title. IDK how you'd be able to properly dive deep into our rabbit hole unless you swap to 2 handed play and start from our humble beginnings (The OG mods)

It definitely wouldn't have hurt if there was gamecube slots natively for gamecube emulation and controller support. Plus going back to their roots and market it as a entertainment console so that people could have felt the need to use the screen more. Maybe if they released a better gamepad that can exist more than 20 away from the console so that it is not tethered or even a pro console or something so people can't complain about the hardware being the limiting factor. More 3ds and wii u major interaction like the smash bros controller app/feature or where a third is exclusive to each and the last third is when they're combined? Would that improve reception? So many opportunities, but it walked so the switch can run. Don't forget so many game possibilities not taken, like an actual home console/main series pokemon release that could have taken advantage of the wii u pad (and maybe a snap sequel 10 years before they actually released it), 3d mario on the scale of 64 besides 3d world. More 3rd party games.
