One of my cats scratches and bites out her fur in one spot near her tail. The vet said that it was probably due to stress. My son, Emmett, learned that gently brushing the top of her head with a wet toothbrush mimics the feeling of their mother's licking them. Maybe there's a trick for de-stressing Griffin too.

Your parrot is scared shitless! I have had an African Grey for 25 years. You must learn to read your parrot’s emotions. Do you know what sex your parrot is? My female african grey has been hormonal in the past. Do you know how old your parrot is? My parrot seemed to be the worst starting at age 15 , and seems to be calming down at age 25. She has laid eggs. Does your parrot try to build nests in crazy places, like under your furniture.

My grey who is 17 now was very easy to potty train as a baby. He poops on command and will say afterwards 'lve done a poop' or says 'done a poo poos'. As I recall it took a few days to potty train him.

My grey who is now 17yrs old has always hated bathing. He will occasionally sit in his water bowl and splash about though. I actually plonk him in a sink bowl every few weeks and give him a good shampoo and rinse with special bird shampoo. He doesn't much like it but he allows me to do it. His feathers looks gorgeous afterwards when he has dried off.

Do they have an Avian vet or just one who knows about birds? I don’t have birds myself, however, I have been paying attention to videos and they suggest if possible, to use an avian vet. General veterinarians learn a little bit, unless they specialize in birds things an and do get missed.❤❤
