I absolutely loved the nuisance in this game. There didn’t seem to be a “good” ending. There was the merge ending, arguably the healthiest and most normal ending, that will always leave Thiu longing for himself; the halved ending, where he probably dies early and will never lead a truly normal life, but gains a friendship unlike any other he could have; and the marriage ending, completely throwing away his social life and any level of healthy living in order to indulge in what he desires, regardless of what people think of him. None are great, all of them leave you wishing there was a better alternative, but when I listen to this song I can’t help but think that regardless of his choice Thiu would always look back at that original decision to split himself and be glad he made it.
Idk, I think the merged ending is a pretty good ending. Thiu’s depression gets better, he’s made friends, Vivian, Lua and Tal are all friends again, and it says that when he gets lonely he can talk to himself and feel kinda like he’s still split and talking to his better half. He was never going to have a normal social life to begin with, merged results in the closest approximation of normalcy. Marriage is really cute tho and I like it because he’s cute
