@michaelhamilton3778 Thank you a good reminder to everyone.
you were saying you went to uti, do you know if the school helps you find work or was it just company recruiters?
Really good school, they help you find work as your going to school like after school and weekends employment. Plus they help me with all I needed to apply and interview with many company's. Plus they always bring in recruiters and job fairs to the school. Plus I've been out for 14 years if I would need help I would just call them to see if they have any job leads. I went to the Avondale/Phoenix Arizona School. What school campus are you thinking of going to?

From what I have heard beards aren't allowed on oil rigs for safety reasons, did they change their policies?
Yes your right in case there is H2S gas and you need to put on a gas mask. The facial hair will not allow a good seal so they make us be clean shave. Some companies are more open minded about facial hair or don't have as Strict policies.

@@diesel2008sp You are so right, i think life IS all about that. Sharing, sometimes smilling, helping, giving, repentance and forgivness. This is great when men are solid masculine (humble, calm, good back posture to prevent any back problème when getting older), Can Say no with finesse, good ears for listening (women love to be listened), not talking for nothing, not laughing for nothing. I think every men should be like that. And women should remain women and feminine not toxic (pop féminism wokism things) . But unfortunatly dear brother, the élites that rules this world killed every good values of life with their capitalism, transhumanism, wokism, féminism, LGBT, globalization, robotization, Propaganda of all kinds (Wars and so on). The worst i think IS that love has been replaced by the supremacy of matter (not gray) and supremacy of narcissisme of social media. Lot of people prefer to talk virtually to people from miles away instead of the one that IS next to them. Also féminism was the biggest tricks création of the capitalists to profit the private Banks by increasing tax payers. And then the élites knew very well that féminism will goes extrêmism. Women in the World (60%) are feminist, condescending, cold, they cant even Cook, they dont want to stay at home to take Care or children (there IS study on how delinquent and criminal children become once they are adults when their moms arent home to take Care of thèm.) The inversion of values, people arent interested in mariage anymore. It IS political And an agenda .
There are tones of studies that shows the benefits of having a beard: - Protection against the sun (but by precaution please put some raspberry seed oil on your face and beard before going out under the sun,) - Protection against cold and fever. - Protection against punch ( it depend of the punch but yes ) - Protection against infection - It make a man looks more attractive - Women love bearded men (proven by Studies) - Inspire respect Now the cons of shaving: -Allow bacterias to niche in the small cut holes that are not visible by the naked eye. - Take some serious time to grow it back to that same length.
Beautiful beard ;)
Thank you very much
Please noooooo! Don't shave your beautiful beard .

I would try online looking for jobs best if you can get with a big company that will give you meals and a man camp. Where are you based out of? Go for a big company. The company where I'm at is kind of small. You don't get all the goody like working for a big company.

Hey I've got my CDL with hazmat any recommendations on who's hiring? Thx buddy
What state or area are you trying to work at? Your gold brother many company's need the CDL drivers and you have hazmat big plus top dollar.
@@diesel2008spI just recently got my CDL. School had us driving an 8 speed. Do oilfield companies fully expect you to already know how to drive 13/18 speed trucks heavily loaded or do they try to teach you a bit more? I got a job offer but I’m worried they won’t be patient with me.
@405ruben what company did you get with? I work for a small company and they kind of just do a small Test and let you go. Maybe pair you with another teacher or driver. My old company I work for was a big oil field company they would have you train for 1000 miles with a teacher and they would pair you with a driver. Plus they would send you to driver school for two weeks. So really it all depends on the company you work for. Best wishes brother and be safe out there.
@@diesel2008sp It’s a company called Gore Nitrogen in Oklahoma. The most manual labor I’ve ever done was warehouse work so we’ll see how it goes! @@diesel2008sp ..So the hair was a foot long?….Did they ask you to cut THAT as well?
@aaronobryan9715 No I had the hair woth a very short beard for months. I had my hair long for 4 years. Just come to a cross road and it was time for me to try something different. With the work I was doing I had my hair tight up 5 to 6 days a week and only on the weekends I would let my hair loose. I didn't like that so ended cutting it shorter to help then second hair cut, cut it all off.

I got hired today as a shop mechanic for a frac company in Wyoming. Previously hauled crude oil in ND during the boom in 2011. Luckily I didn't have to move! The company is located in the same town I own a house.
That is so so awesome, so glad to hear that good news. Yes alway use the best tools we have the internet. I always use it for Manuel, diagram, and electrical schematics. Plus, youtube helps. School can only teach us so much we need to keep learning on our own. Best wishes
Tips for people getting into this with no experience and relevant education? What jobs are common for people like me? What certifications are needed? Love your energy mate hope all is well
Thank you very much Mate, best skill is the drive to want to work and show up to work. So many people are offer the job and they let the opportunity go. What Education do you have? Really all you need to do is apply as a labor hand lot of this jobs will teach you the skill needed this job are about or are 6 figure jobs. Just need to apply where are you located at where are you trying to work? I'm in Texas USA.
@@diesel2008sp Bachelors degree in communication mate don't think it''ll do much for me hahaha. I'm trying to relocate to Midland Texas since i've got a connection there. Any personal recommendation where I should start? The job(s) and companies I should look into? Appreciate you mate!
There are a variety of ways to get into being a mechanic. Oil field companies are 1 avenue, trucking companies are another. Diesel school is great if you have the time and money but they are not the only way to become a solid mechanic. You COULD walk into any place looking for help and sit down with the manager and explain you're willing to start at the bottom and work hard to achieve your goals. It's a gamble with ANYONE in this trade. There are those with child support issues, divorces, jail sentences etc and somehow they manage to stay employed. A lot of that comes from a shortage of technicians. Get yourself a starter set of tools and see if someone will give you a shot doing oil changes and grease jobs. From there you might get asked to assist on a set of brakes. A winning attitude will carry you far in this field. Good luck!
My dude! You should look into acting. You're energy is fkn great. I'm an older lad 29 and thinking of enrolling at my local community college to become a diesel technician. Are there jobs in the oil field that soley focus on fixing their diesel equimpent.
Also what are your duties as a diesel tech in oil field?
Thank you my friend means alot I'm working on it I'm enjoying making videos and helping other people. Your words mean alot thank you. Yes that is great I went to a Automotive and diesel school. Try to learn it all will help you get real rounds on all equipment. Diesel is not that hard if you understand gas motors and vehicles your half way there. Plus I watch alot of UA-cam video always keeping my skill Sharpe and always learning. So there is job that all they do is engine repairs and rebuild. I'm in a frac company so I work from bumper to bumper on all equipment from engine transmission power train. Air and Hydraulic electronics and electrical systems. Big must things are move more to electrical. Good friend class mate he was 50 plus when he started school with me started guy in the class because he work hard and knew he needed to make it. I was 18 years old. I'm 33 now so been doing this for many year's now. We all start with just doing PM on the equipment and learning the equipment and it job role what the equipment is use for. So as a frac field mechanics my responsibilities are doing repairs when equipment fails. Sometime it just doing PM check your fuild levels. To be repairs and rebuild and repair at the job side. Anything really like engine rebuild or big repairs will be fix in the shop. Like in the field we get things fix to get the equipment back to doing it job role.
I would love to have a beer with you man!
Yes when your in Midland, let's have a beer brother.
@@diesel2008sp I may move up there to work for a company doing Preventative Maintenance on the Frac Equipment. So hey, it may be a possible!
That sound awesome what company. That what I work on frac pumps.
How long do you have to stay there? how many hours? How far away are the bathrooms?
I work a schedule of 14 days on 7 days off. There are different schedules like 5 on 2 off, 14 on 14 off, 20 on 10 off. There is different schedule. I work on a 24 hour schedule jobs so two crews they work 12 hours from 5:30am to 5:30pm day shift, 5:30pm to 5:30am night. But add two, three hours to your shift. For travel to the jobsite they are paid travel. I work a 15 to 17 hour shift. Some of these locations are 30 minutes to 2 hours, alway one way from our company yard. Bathrooms are here plastic out houses right now it's 110F, so it feels like 500F inside their worst feeling, hahaha, and in the winter, it's an ice box. But we live this oil field life because we are crazy and this pays us the most money. Best wishes, I hope you find your way this way.
@@diesel2008sp Thank you for explaining the details. Wow, long days. I wish I could do that type of work, I have too many health problems.
